After The Meeting Between Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping

After the meeting between President Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping in which several topics were discussed, the China and the world was shocked by Trump’s Syrian missile attack. Everyone also took notice as Trump and his military deployed the  nuclear-powered USS Carl Vinson aircraft carrier strike group from Singapore to North Korea. In a direct response to the rising tensions, China has now taken defensive steps as well. Navy Adm. Harry B. Harris Jr., commander of U.S. Pacific Command, according to a DoD press release on April 10th, directed the Carl Vinson Strike Group to sail north and report on station in the … Continue reading

Quote of the Day

“WHAT IF THEY GAVE A WAR AND NO ONE CAME?” For many many years we have heard the question from the anti-war left, supposedly by Carl Sandburg   I came across the original – and it’s not what you might think. Continue reading

The Middle East, Russia, and China After The Election

Published on Oct 21, 2016 Hillary is blaming Russia for everything that is going wrong with her feeble campaign. Russia replies with a stern warning for America and the world. Tackling the Middle East after the Election Middle East Forum by Clifford Smith November 4, 2016 The next U.S. president will have a difficult job in the Middle East. The Obama administration’s failure to appreciate the long-term consequences of its actions (and inactions) have allowed forces unfriendly to the United States to make unprecedented strategic, political, and even territorial gains. The Obama administration’s recently reaffirmed strategy toward … Continue reading

Hillary Clinton’s “Russia Reset” Button and Hillary’s Wars

Fox News carried a story back in 2009 where Hillary screwed up her gift to Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov. She  learned the lesson the hard way when bearing a gift in a foreign language that translations matter. In this case her chosen word’s translation — implied hostility, rather than peacemaking. It did not take them long at all to call her on it.   The latest breaking news from Putin certainly proves that all her efforts at negotiating with Russia back then have been an abysmal failure.  As I reported on October 7, 2016, Putin has suspended the Nuclear Pact Hillary … Continue reading

. “Let us recollect that peace or war will not always be left to our option; that however moderate or unambitious we may be, we cannot count upon the moderation, or hope to extinguish the ambition of others.” Alexander Hamilton, Federalist No. 34,  1788   ~ ~   Grouchy   ~ ~

Quote Of The Day — January 29, 2016

. We must move into the universe. Mankind must save itself. We must escape the danger of war and politics. We must become astronauts and go out into the universe and discover the God in ourselves. Ray Bradbury — (22 August 1920 – 5 June 2012)   ~ ~   Grouchy   ~ ~

Russia Expanding Presence In Syria

The Bear Steps In: Russia’s Expanding Military Presence in Syria by Jonathan Spyer The Jerusalem Post September 12, 2015 Originally published under the title “Russia’s Military Presence in Syria.” Some of the photos reportedly posted to social media in recent days by Russian soldiers in Syria’s Latakia province. The current increase of the Russian military presence in northwest Syria is a function of the declining military fortunes of the Assad regime. It represents a quantitative, rather than qualitative, change in the nature of the Russian engagement in Syria. Moscow’s goal throughout the conflict has been to keep Syrian President Bashar Assad in power by … Continue reading

. “Consistently, from the Hezbollah heartland, my message was that Hezbollah must stop this cowardly blending … among women and children,” . “I heard they were proud because they lost very few fighters and that it was the civilians bearing the brunt of this. I don’t think anyone should be proud of having many more children and women dead than armed men.” Jan Egeland U.N. humanitarian chief   (Date Unknown) SOURCE:  “Quotes on Israel and the Middle East”   ~ ~   Grouchy   ~ ~

South China Sea Emerging Threat

PHOTOGRAPH. from  (which has stunning interactive maps and Pacific studies) NEW YORK TIMES What China Has Been Building in the South China Sea By DEREK WATKINS July 31, 2015 China has been feverishly piling sand onto reefs in the South China Sea for the past year, creating seven new islets in the region. It is straining geopolitical tensions that were already taut. The speed and scale of China’s island-building spree have alarmed other countries with interests in the region. China announced in June that the creation of islands — moving sediment from the seafloor to a reef — would soon be … Continue reading

Our Tax Dollars at Work Funding Radicals

FROM SHARIA UNVEILED June 17, 2015 ALALAM is a a Tehran based news outlet which Shariah Unveiled quoted for this article. Their report can be read HERE along with video. Some parts of latest propaganda video of ISIS published recently showed ISIS using U.S. TOW anti-tank missiles during the capture of the Syrian town of Palmyra last month.  The videos also show ISIS using Tanks, Rocket launchers, Howitzers and other heavy weaponry in their attack on the town. “Know Thy Enemy”

Through one of my sources, I received a post concerning the implied threat of making slaves here in the United States of the enemies of this rabid group called ISIS.  It had a link so I followed that to a monthly magazine which ISIS publishes.   This is not a site for the general propaganda but written to and for members of Islam worldwide much as any Western magazine. It focuses on updates of fighting, imam advice and several other in depth articles covering subjects to praise and glorify jihad and it’s war heroes.   I will not post the … Continue reading

Quote Of The Day — May 3, 2015

. “Safety from external danger is the most powerful director of national conduct. Even the ardent love of liberty will, after a time, give way to its dictates. The violent destruction of life and property incident to war, the continual effort and alarm attendant on a state of continual danger, will compel nations the most attached to liberty to resort for repose and security to institutions which have a tendency to destroy their civil and political rights. To be more safe, they at length become willing to run the risk of being less free.” Alexander Hamilton,  January 11, 1755 – … Continue reading

Quote Of The Day — February 8, 2015

. Wars may be fought with weapons, but they are won by men. It is the spirit of the men who follow and of the man who leads that gains the victory. General George Smith Patton, Jr. (11 November 1885 – 21 December 1945)  Cavalry Journal (September 1933)   ~ ~  Grouchy  ~ ~

Quote Of The Day — December 12, 2014
