Ways Government Can Help Communities Get Back To Work

It isn’t often we can talk about EPA helping a community rather than finding ways to stymie and wrap them up in regulations and rules. BUT here is one that is worth a great deal toward moving unemployed and young people forward into an industry that really needs to be considered.   How many times have we heard of disasters where hazmat cleanup and workers were involved? Certainly more every day as places across the country meet different scenarios. Where do these workers come from? How do they get trained? Is it an industry that could provide good paying jobs … Continue reading

EPA – Environmental Protection Or Tool, One Of The Bullies

ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION OR TOOL Status of GAO Recommendations:  As of May 23, 2016, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) had implemented 174 of the 325 recommendations GAO made in fiscal years 2006 through 2015. EPA had not yet implemented the remaining 151 recommendations.  Among those unimplemented OIG and GAO recommendations, several are of great interest to the Committee’s oversight efforts. Statement of Senator James M. Inhofe Subcommittee on Superfund, Waste Management, and Regulatory Oversight Hearing June 14, 2016:    ” For example, EPA has yet to implement various GAO recommendations regarding the Agency’s procedures for processing Congressional requests for scientific advice by the Agency’s … Continue reading

Kentucky’s New GOP Governor Tells EPA to Pound Sand

From Liberty News: Newly elected Governor of Kentucky Matt Bevin is wasting no time in declaring war against Obama’s rogue federal government. Specifically, Obama’s unconstitutional Environmental Protection Agency. In an interview with Glenn Beck, Bevin was asked about the EPA’s efforts to destroy the coal industry. Bevin’s response was not what you normally hear from someone as high profile as an elected governor. Bevin basically said the 10th Amendment prohibits the fed from shutting down coal and therefore the EPA can “pound sand.” The two minute segment is below and it’s well worth a listen. (audio only) ~~~~~~~~~ Our Founders drew … Continue reading

Federal Judge Blocks Obama’s Water Rule

From The Hill: A federal judge in North Dakota acted late Thursday to block the Obama administration’s controversial water pollution rule, hours before it was due to take effect. Judge Ralph Erickson of the District Court for the District of North Dakota found that the 13 states suing to block the rule met the conditions necessary for a preliminary injunction, including that they would likely be harmed if courts didn’t act and that they are likely to succeed when their underlying lawsuit against the rule is decided. The decision is a major roadblock for the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and … Continue reading

EPA Strikes and Silverton Suffers

We have seen several disaster shots of Silverton and the pollution resulting from an “accidental” breech of underground mining sludge. Optimistic articles since then say Silverton may be more quickly reducing its pollution levels but that still leaves every town from there down the runoffs and riverbeds to the Colorado. (Photo by Severiano Galván-Newspaper Designer)  Posts are cranking out daily on how EPA is at fault and liable. I mostly agree but felt it warranted a wider view. Timelines help me and hopefully strike a chord with others. This is a complex issue and has warning bells and cautions … Continue reading

From The “GEE, NO SHIT” File For May 27 2015

Whenever liberals, leftists, and other assorted morons tell you what a bang-up job the rogue EPA is doing, point them to THIS article. Multiply that across the whole of the feral government, you can PLAINLY see why we are in an economic shit hole. Time to STARVE this beast. From Anthony Watts at wattsupwiththat.com   ‘[EPA] regulations in the study are less likely to have economic benefits in excess of their costs.’ Anthony Watts /  May 26, 2015 From Indiana University: Researchers say anti-pollution rules have uncertain effects BLOOMINGTON, Ind. — Air pollution regulations issued by the U.S. Environmental Protection … Continue reading

FEMA to withhold disaster-preparedness funds from states that don’t plan for climate change

From: hotair.com, by: Allahpundit, on: March 23, 2015, see the article HERE. C’mon. This isn’t real, is it? The Federal Emergency Management Agency is making it tougher for governors to deny man-made climate change. Starting next year, the agency will approve disaster-preparedness funds only for states whose governors approve hazard-mitigation plans that address climate change… The policy doesn’t affect federal money for relief after a hurricane, flood, or other disaster. Specifically, beginning in March 2016, states seeking preparedness money will have to assess how climate change threatens their communities. Governors will have to sign off on hazard-mitigation plans. While some … Continue reading

Hey, Republicans. Add THIS To The List.

In what has become standard operating procedure, the rogue EPA, at the behest of the Regime, delivered a HUGE blow to industry just before Thanksgiving. This time, the “ozone”, or smog regulations are set to STRANGLE industrial development all over the country. And, of course, the Sierra Club thinks it is NOT enough. Michael Bastasch at The Daily Caller.com drops the bomb.   EPA Sneaks ‘Costliest Regulation Ever’ Over Holidays 12:14 PM 12/01/2014  By Michael Bastasch  Contributor   While millions of Americans were getting ready to celebrate Thanksgiving, the  Environmental Protection Agency unveiled stricter standards for ozone, or smog, levels … Continue reading

Clean Water Act Jeopardizes All Property Owners

From The Daily Signal: Proposed Water Rule Could Put Property Rights of Every American at the Mercy of EPA   It seems incredible, but a single missing word could turn a water law into a government land grab so horrendous even a U.S. Supreme Court justice warned it would “put the property rights of every American entirely at the mercy of Environmental Protection Agency employees.” The missing word is “navigable.” The Obama administration is proposing a rule titled “Definition of ‘Waters of the United States’ Under the Clean Water Act,” which would strike “navigable” from American water law and redefine … Continue reading

The EPA was destroying computer files way before those hacks at the IRS

Posted on Hot Air at 9:31 am on June 22, 2014 by Jazz Shaw In the midst of all the sound and fury surrounding the case of My Dog At my E-mails at the IRS, Sharyl Attkisson has dug up a little noted piece of government history which reminds us that federal agencies have plenty of experience in playing fast and loose with the rules. More than a decade ago, the EPA was found to have pulled a similar stunt, but they were far less oblique about it when caught with their hands in the cookie jar. According to an … Continue reading

Impeachment whistle-stop in South Dakota

The South Dakota Republican Party passed a resolution on Saturday calling for the impeachment of President Barack Obama. By Igor Bobic | HuffPo Posted: 06/21/2014 Delegates at the party’s annual convention in Rapid City voted 191-176 in favor of the measure, which claims that the president has “violated his oath of office in numerous ways,” according to the Sioux Falls Argus Leader. Specifically, the resolution cited the trade of five Taliban detainees for U.S. Army soldier Bowe Bergdahl, as well as Obama’s much-maligned campaign promise that people would be able to keep their existing health insurance under the Affordable Care … Continue reading

Rand Paul on Endangered Species, Domestic Terrorists and the Bundy Dispute

This video is from Friday, April 18th while the Bundy incident was still underway and Rand Paul shares some key information such as a bill he introduced over a year ago that would give the states more control over the handling of endangered species. Republican and Nevada Senator Dean Heller is a co-sponsor of the bill, so naturally it’s languishing on Harry Reid’s desk. Anything to aggravate the Rs and most especially important to him is keeping that control in the hands of the Feds where he can make his crony deals. Rand Paul says they need to dial back the … Continue reading

The List of Government Land Grabs

This is a follow up post to the one I did yesterday on why the government is so determined to grab up as much land as possible. It explained the ‘why’ and this is a very abbreviated list of cases where government is or has seized land from its’ rightful owners. In May of 2012, Human Events posted a story about a highway funding bill that had $1.4 billion hidden in it for purchasing private property. Controversial legislation tucked into a contentious highway-funding bill gives state and federal governments $1.4 billion to buy private property for new conservation efforts and … Continue reading

No Breaking Wind Allowed

Tens of millions unable to find full-time work, or any job at all, and the Administration does nothing.  Iran defiantly says it will continue its nuclear enrichment program, and the White House shrugs.  Putin masses tens of thousands of Russian troops on the eastern Ukraine border, edging the world closer to war, and Obama moves not a muscle.  Yet, let a cow fart in Oklahoma, and the hare-brain trust at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave goes into full flurry mode. From Michael Bastasch at the Daily Caller: White House looks to regulate cow flatulence as part of climate agenda As part of … Continue reading

Report Claims Notorious EPA Fraudster Was behind Costly Regulations

From FOX News: John Beale, the former EPA official who fooled his bosses into believing he worked for the CIA, was deeply involved in crafting costly environmental standards which still are having an impact today — though he came into the job with little, if any, environmental experience. The details were included in a 67-page report from Republicans on the Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works, which claims the fraudster’s role should now throw those rules into question. The report is the product of months of research into the case of Beale, a top official in the Office of … Continue reading

Page 930 of Obama’s Budget Has This Tidbit

From Daniel Greenfield at Front Page Mag: The Environmentalist Eugenics of the Left Pick up a copy of Obama’s $3.9 trillion budget and there among the TSA fee hikes, Medicare payment cuts and the $400 million for the DHS to fight global warming is a curious little item. On Page 930 of the budget that never ends is $575 million for “family planning/reproductive health” worldwide especially in “areas where population growth threatens biodiversity or endangered species.” The idea that the way to protect insects, fish and animals is by preventing human beings from having children is part of an approach known … Continue reading

About Damn Time They Figured This Out.

In a hearing today, several climate scientists, and, not to be left out a FEW Republican legislators have filed amicus briefs to the SCOTUS against the rogue EPA. Given the lousy record of the Roberts Court on Constitutional matters, I’m not holding my breath they will even allow this in. From The Daily Caller.com   ‘MASSIVE SEIZURE OF POWER’: Climate scientists, economists challenge  EPA. 1:52 PM  12/18/2013  By Michael Bastasch Cheap. Clean. Efficient. Must be why the liberal loony left HATES them so much.   The shuttered coal-fired Crawford Generating Station in Chicago. Can’t WAIT until the leftist assholes who want … Continue reading
