Bless Our Troops

We should all be reminded that there are men and women of our Armed Services who are standing guard tonight and every night to protect all of us.  GOD Bless each and every one of them. And May GOD protect them. A Different Kind Of Christmas Poem The embers glowed softly, and in their dim light, I gazed round the room and I cherished the sight. My wife was asleep, her head on my chest, My daughter beside me, angelic in rest. Outside the snow fell, a blanket of white, Transforming the yard to a winter delight. The sparkling lights … Continue reading

A Christmas Wish

Dear Mom and Dad, The first thing I want to say is, I Love you both, very much. You asked me what I want for Christmas. I am going to tell you, but first, I have to tell you why. You see, I have tried to tell you before, but somehow, I never could seem to get through to you. I could not seem to make you understand that I am an individual, with a mind of my own that thinks and reasons. I have a heart, that feels very deeply. I remember as a very small child, all the … Continue reading

Quote Of The Day — December 25, 2015

. “My soul magnifies the Lord, and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior, for he has looked on the humble estate of his servant. For behold, from now on all generations will call me blessed; for he who is mighty has done great things for me, and holy is his name. And his mercy is for those who fear him from generation to generation. He has shown strength with his arm; he has scattered the proud in the thoughts of their hearts; he has brought down the mighty from their thrones and exalted those of humble estate; he has … Continue reading

Santa vs Sharpton : Case # 2014

From XIV Twas the night before Christmas at the North Pole toy shop, Santa’s attorney’s were puzzling over a letter they got. Al Sharpton demanded, through certified mail that Santa’s list policy change what it entails.   No more should children be judged naughty or nice, whatever the case But gifts be determined through gender, ethnicity and race. “Affirmative Action gifting” must be St. Nick’s new mantra, Or Sharpton would organize a boycott of Santa.   “Balderdash” bellowed Santa, “let that nut case sue,” “No race hustling con artist tells me what to do.” “Each child will be considered … Continue reading

Just When Was HE Born, Anyway?

HE wasn’t born on December 25th, so why do we celebrate it? Her Majesty the Queen has two birthdays. One on April 21, when she gets presents from her family, cards from friends and well-wishers, and has a quiet dinner at home. And then, her official birthday, the second Saturday of June. This is celebrated with parades, massed bands, trooping the colours, fireworks, and all the pomp and ceremony of the British Empire.  Much the same for the birthday of one far more important than the Queen. The word for Christmas in Old English is Cristes Maesse, the Mass of Christ, … Continue reading

If They Can’t Say “Merry Christmas”….

….Walk Right Out The Door ! Several retailers over the years stopped using the term Christmas, until publicity and threats of boycotts by the Catholic League, the American Family Association, the Knights of Columbus, and other organizations turned them around. The list includes Lowes, Sears, Kmart, Wal-Mart,Target, Best Buy, Home Depot, Costco, and even Pet Smart.   I urge you to be alert this year for any backsliding on their prior pledges to“Keep Christ In Christmas.” Say “Merry Christmas”, and be PROUD !   H/T to Rose Ann & vonMesser   ~Terry

Christmas Day, 2013

. Christmas, 2013 Today is Christmas Day. This is the day we celebrate the Birth of the Personage known all through Christendom as “The Savior”. At least, that is what it is supposed to be. But the Retail industry has gotten its greedy, avaricious fingers into the season. In subtle, and not-so-subtle ways has this changed the meaning of the season completely. So, too, have those who have an intense fear of the Name Of Christ, to the point they desire, and demand, His Name be stricken from the historical and cultural records. Let us remember and celebrate the Birth … Continue reading

White House Tours Resume Before Christmas

From Breitbart: On Friday, the White House quietly announced the re-opening of White House tours, despite the fact that sequestration, which supposedly forced the closing of those tours in the first place, has not ended.  The tours will still be held only three days per week as opposed to the original five, according to the White House, which gave that newsbreak to its allies at The Huffington Post. The tours will formally reopen on November 5. The Secret Service apparently claims that it has discovered how to manage money better and therefore can reopen the tours with alacrity. Robert Novy, spokesman for the … Continue reading
