Reid: Kochs ‘Main Cause’ of Climate Change

From Politico:   The Koch brothers are one of the “main causes” of climate change, charged Senate Majority Ranter Harry Reid on the Senate floor. “While the Koch brothers admit to not being experts on the matter, these billionaire oil tycoons are certainly… experts at contributing to climate change. That’s what they do very well. They are one of the main causes of this. Not a cause, the main cause,” Reid said. Now in his fifth month of flogging the billionaire conservative benefactors on the Senate floor, Reid dubbed them “multizillionaires” on Wednesday and mockingly applauded their spokeswoman for saying the Kochs … Continue reading

Finally – Congress May Approve Keystone Pipeline

From Yahoo & Fiscal Times: For years, President Obama has flexed his executive powers to try to circumvent a recalcitrant Congress on a broad range of environmental, economic and regulatory issues. Last January, he vowed during his State of the Union address to use the power of his pen to chip away at his agenda, making clear he would sidestep Congress “wherever and whenever” he can. Now it looks as if lawmakers from both parties are getting ready to turn the tables as they press for approval of a controversial pipeline project. Frustrated that the administration appears to be slow walking a … Continue reading

Disgraceful Democrats Add Insult to Injury

From Todd Cefaratti at TPNN: The recent release of the Benghazi emails has Democrats scurrying for cover from the political fallout and in doing so, many are showing their true colors. Former National Security Council (NSC) spokesman Tommy Vietor spoke with Fox News’ Bret Baier on Thursday and downplayed the seriousness of the emails that has rocked the political establishment. When asked about details pertaining to his own involvement in altering the Benghazi talking points to pain President Obama in a more-favorable light, the former Obama staffer flippantly replied, “Dude, this was like two years ago.” With Hillary dismissing the scandal … Continue reading

As We Often Say…Follow the Money

From Barry Secrest at Conservative Refocus: One of the major questions that many confused voters within the political right continually ask,  often gravitates around why some Republicans seem to support repair of Obamacare over repeal. However, the answer to that particular question is not as difficult as many might imagine. One need only follow the money. If we look at one of the major Obamacare Exchange health insurance players, that being Blue Cross & Blue Shield, as one of the heavy-hitters for campaign contributions and lobbying– and delve deeply into who their major political donation recipients actually are, the question … Continue reading

Are You Familiar with Operation Choke Point?

Since it was established in 2009 by Executive Order, and it appears to have been kicked off in secret, there’s a good chance few people are familiar with it. You’ll find this hard to imagine, but officials at the Department of Justice have withheld information about the program from Congress, though they have eagerly shared details with federal financial institution examiners authorized to supervise and discipline the nation’s banks and related financial institutions. The operation is headed by political operatives and career bureaucrats at the Department of Justice, the FDIC, and the new Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (“CFPB”). According to … Continue reading

Boehner is Appalled Over Rhodes’ New Emails

From the Daily Caller: Speaker of the House John Boehner on Wednesday night condemned the Obama administration for going to “extraordinary lengths to mislead, obstruct, and obscure what actually took place” during the Benghazi terrorist attack of 2012 now that it is clear the White House has not turned over all pertinent documents. The Ohio Republican made the comments after the release of new emails this week by a conservative group, which obtained them through a Freedom of Information Act request. The emails indicate that the White House played a bigger role than previously admitted in crafting the now-debunked initial … Continue reading

Benghazi black hole

Not much has changed since these clips. Oh, “the kind of insanity we’re dealing with.” The outrage goes on. Boehner, complicit or just complacent? New Bill Would Cut Off Eric Holder’s Paycheck

From the Daily Caller: A Republican congressman from Texas has introduced a bill in the House of Representatives that would stop the government from paying Attorney General Eric Holder’s salary. Rep. Blake Farenthold’s “Contempt Act” would prohibit any federal employee who has been found in contempt of Congress from getting a taxpayer-funded paycheck. In 2012, the House voted to hold Holder in contempt over his refusal to hand over documents related to the Fast and Furious gun-running scandal. Farenthold specifically referenced Holder in his statement about the legislation. “In 2012, the House of Representatives voted to hold Attorney General Eric Holder … Continue reading

Its goal is “to restore the right of trained soldiers to carry their guns.” According to USA Today, Stockman compared the situation soldiers are in now as they deal with a need to abolish military gun-free zones to the road Texas traveled down to secure the passage of concealed carry. He explained that “in 1991, just six miles from Fort Hood, the residents of Texas suffered a mass shooting at a Luby’s cafeteria. One victim could only watch helplessly because under the law, … Continue reading

Fixing the Problem. Part ONE of a whole bunch.

The last three things I’ve posted have had to do with Obummercare, and unfortunately, while Obummercare is big and important, we need to focus on getting rid of it, not fixing it. We also need to look at a (fertilizer) load of things that need fixing.  Back when G.H.W. Bush was running for President in 1988 I wrote a paper for the Washington State Republican Party. It was kind of long, so I’m going to slightly rewrite it, and break it up into several parts. So here goes with the first of many parts.: Candidates for political office Unless we are “in … Continue reading

Arutz Sheva 4/8/2014 An American Congressman has expressed his “shock” after witnessing anti-Jewish discrimination on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem, during a recent fact-finding mission to Israel. Trey Gowdy Has a Few Words on Congress Being ‘Underpaid’

Yesterday I posted a piece where Rep. Jim Moran (D-VA) whined earlier this week that Congressmen can’t live “decently” on their annual salaries of $174,000. Trey Gowdy obliterated that “laughable” argument On Greta’s show. I love this man. ~Kathy
