Sen. Coburn’s Final Oversight Report: DHS Problems

From Fox News: U.S. Senator Tom Coburn released his final oversight report on the Department of Homeland Security, which has found major problems in the branch. The report finds that Homeland Security is not successfully executing any of its five main missions. “Ten years of oversight of the Department of Homeland Security finds that the Department still has a lot of work to do to strengthen our nation’s security,” Coburn explained.  “Congress needs to review the Department’s mission and programs and refocus DHS on national priorities where DHS has a lead responsibility.” Homeland Security spent $50 billion over the past … Continue reading

The statement asserts that “a piece of equipment Senator Reid was using to exercise broke, causing him to fall and break a number of ribs and bones in his face.” Reid was reportedly first brought to St. Rose Dominican Hospital in Henderson to treat the injury before he was transferred to the University Medical Center in Las Vegas, where he remained overnight. Conservative Lawmakers Plan To Vote Against Boehner For Speaker

From The Daily Caller: Some disaffected conservative House Republicans are planning to rebel and vote against John Boehner for speaker of the House when the new Congress convenes next week. The official speaker’s election is set for Jan. 6., when the House will convene for a public floor vote to open the new Congress. While the vote is usually just a formality, these conservative lawmakers are planning to vote for someone other than the Ohio Republican who has been speaker since 2011. “Right now, I’ve been meeting with a small group, and we — about 16, 18 — and we’re … Continue reading

Obama Congressional Bypasses in Review

From TPNN: This year, as we look back on the good and bad of American politics, it’s easy to see that what Americans are left with is definitely a mixed bag. On one hand, the November midterms went far better than even the most-optimistic conservative prognosticators could have imagined (despite the fairytale silver linings the DNC tries to insist exist). On the other hand, however, our republic remains in serious jeopardy and our rule of law has been more damaged in this past year than it has ever been (with the possible exception of Lincoln’s war time acts). The Blaze … Continue reading

Americans, Your Help Is Needed.

As we all know, the republicans scored a MAJOR victory this past Nov. 4th. And, MUCH to our chagrin, the clowns reelected Weepy John Boehner, he of Man’s Country, to remain as Speaker Of The House. We also know what an unmitigated disaster he was BEFORE the election, and SINCE, he’s ratcheted up the stupid factor 100 fold. Please read the article, and if you wish, use the links to register YOUR displeasure with this martini-sotted  weeping fool, and MAYBE we can “convince” the new republican majority it MAY not be in THEIR best interests to keep the bum as … Continue reading

Executive Action or Executive Memo

As always this administration has the bullshit floodgates wide open. Since Congress isn’t stopping Obama will his illegal activities we can all safely assume that he will accelerate his edicts in 2015. King Putt certainly does not feel restrained by the Constitution and Congress has refused to exercise their authority, thanks primarily to Harry Reid.  Under the leadership of Senate Majority Leader McConnell and Speaker Boehner it will be interesting to see if they believe in the separation of powers as mandated in the Constitution or if they will roll over and allow Putt to continue to have his way. … Continue reading

Trey Gowdy Not Interested in Being Speaker

From A Tea Party group wants Rep. Trey Gowdy to challenge John Boehner for the Speaker’s gavel. A fellow Republican says Gowdy would certainly have his support. But the conservative South Carolina Republican says he has no interest in becoming Speaker when lawmakers cast their vote on the House floor next month. “Rep. Gowdy has said his time and attention will continue to be devoted to the work assigned to him,” said Gowdy’s spokeswoman, Amanda Duvall. “He is not interested in any leadership positions and believes one can have influence without the title.” This past spring, Boehner (R-Ohio) appointed … Continue reading

Ted Cruz disrupts “business as usual” in Washington

A lot of people in Washington, D.C. are unhappy with Texas Senator Ted Cruz. He just can’t seem to let things be and get in step with his party’s movers and shakers. One could expect democrats to dislike him, but most of the artillery being lobbed at him lately is coming from his own party. Establishment Republicans are after his hide; he’s a threat to their “business as usual” way of manipulating the nation’s affairs. Some of his critics, including Charles Krauthammer and George Will, say that he doesn’t understand how the game is played in Washington; that he doesn’t … Continue reading

Obama Has No Authority to Lift Embargo on Cuba

From The Daily Signal: Cuba’s release of American hostage Alan Gross is to be welcome. Gross has vegetated in a Cuban jail for five years for the crime of bringing computers to Jews on the island. But exchanging three hardened Cuban spies for him establishes a wrong moral and legal equivalency. Worse, extending recognition to Cuba’s dictatorial regime harms U.S. national interests and fails to advance freedom in Cuba. The White House “Fact Sheet” on Cuba makes clear that the Obama administration received nothing in exchange for its many and substantial concessions to Havana’s Communist regime. In essence, after five … Continue reading

Pro 2A McSally Wins Giffords’ Seat

From Breitbart: On December 17, pro-Second Amendment candidate Martha McSally (R) was officially declared the winner in the race for Arizona’s second congressional district over pro-gun control Representative Ron Barber (D-AZ-2.) Arizona’s second district is gun control proponent Gabby Giffords’ former seat and the contest she campaigned hardest for during the months prior to the November 4 mid-term elections. According to Roll Call, McSally won the election by “167 votes.” Barber released a statement congratulating her and “wishing her well in serving southern Arizonans.” Breibart News previously reported that Barber was trying to get re-elected on a gun control platform, … Continue reading

The Democrats have turned our Constitutional Republic into an Obfustocracy

Remember when we were taught in school that we have a Constitutional Republic? The United States of America is a Constitutional Republic. A constitutional republic is a state in which the head of state and other officials are representatives of the people, making the state a republic. They must govern according to a constitution, which specifies and limits the government’s powers, which makes the state constitutional. Our Constitutional Republic is broken. It is not operating as it was designed by our founders and not according to the Constitution and laws already on the books. That makes many of the actions … Continue reading

This EXCELLENT open letter to the GOPe asshats who are not only dividing the country, but the party as well, would be WISE to heed these words of wisdom. And my bet will be they will NOT. This will be laughed off as some Tea Party kookery. GOPe, ignore this at your own peril. This comes to us from John Hawkins, at RightWing, and   An Open Letter To The Republican Leadership In Congress John Hawkins | Dec 13, 2014 While it would certainly be cathartic to flog the GOP for the lousy omnibus bill House Republicans just … Continue reading

Will They EVER Learn ? Not Likely.

The HUGE waste of time and funds that was the recently-concluded U-frigging-N COP20 talks in Lima, Peru have ONCE AGAIN been a dismal failure. Of course, THAT is the way they usually wind up. The Klimate Klowns will go home, pissed that NO ONE wants to pay for their grandiose schemes that HALF the world will NOT abide by anyway. Story from Michael Bastasch at The Daily   UN Climate Talks Once Again Break Down Over ‘Climate Reparations’ 9:54 PM 12/13/2014  By Michael Bastasch  Contributor     United Nations climate delegates are likely to leave Lima, Peru this … Continue reading

Allen West on 9 Instances of Duplicitous Hypocrisy

It’s time to “put the gloves on” as they say. Here are 9 instances of duplicitous hypocrisy from the left that really make my blood boil — and they should for you too. I’m reflecting on this past week and what is undoubtedly a very disturbing issue in America — the duplicitous hypocrisy of the progressive socialist left. If we are to restore our Constitutional Republic, it truly becomes a challenge to contest against that which claims no standard of character and regards no rule of law. And it becomes a seemingly insurmountable task to disseminate the truth when there … Continue reading

“Boehner LIED to Me to Get My Vote”

From TPNN: Speaker of the House John Boehner may soon find himself short on friends after he betrayed each and every American with his crusade to pass the Cromnibus resolution that funds both Obamacare and the unconstitutional amnesty program created via executive fiat. However, while each and every American ought to feel betrayed, one Republican congressman says he feels particularly betrayed and asserts that Speaker Boehner lied to him to get his vote on bringing the Cromnibus to the House floor. Representative Marlin Stutzman (R., Ind.) says that Boehner made a deal with him to secure his last-minute vote on … Continue reading
