OH, For A Rational Thought ! !

. Those of us who are bloggers and anyone who can comprehend a complete sentence will resonate with this College Professor. Canada Free Press has the story. America’s Achilles Heel   By Jimmy Reed (Bio and Archives) Monday, October 14, 2013 Recently, a civic organization asked me to be the guest speaker during their weekly luncheon. My ego being what it is, I accepted, even though final examinations were in progress at the small college where I teach. The man who introduced me is a bank president, and was one of my students at a community college many years ago. … Continue reading

Common Core Strikes Again

By Justin King at the Digital Journal Worksheet asks children to remove parts of the Bill of Rights A student in Bryant School District in Arkansas brought home a worksheet that presented her with a scenario that referred to the Bill of Rights as “outdated” and that as part of a special committee she would need to throw out two of the Amendments. The worksheet was handed out to Sixth grade students in a history class. According to the girl’s mother, Lela Spears, she has not received any government or civics classes and this was the first assignment dealing with the Constitution or … Continue reading

Jeb Bush: Common Core is the Least We Can Do

From Human Events: State-driven Common Core is least we can do to accelerate student learning This piece was written exclusively for Human Events by Governor Jeb Bush.  I recently finished a fascinating new book by journalist Amanda Ripley called The Smartest Kids in the World: And How They Got That Way. The comparisons in the book between American schools and those in higher performing countries were jarring, but not a wake-up call. We’ve had those for years, going back to Sputnik and then A Nation at Risk and now to continued poor performance on international tests – the most … Continue reading

Feds to Fund School Security Officers

From Fox News: Obama administration to allocate $45M for cops in schools The Obama administration plans to spend millions of dollars to place armed police officers in schools throughout the country in a move advocated by the National Rifle Association in the wake of last December’s shooting massacre in Newtown, Conn. The Department of Justice announced Friday it’s giving nearly $45 million to fund 356 new school resource officer positions. Funding will be provided by grants from the department’s Community Oriented Policing Services, or COPS, office. “Just over nine months after the senseless mass shooting at Sandy Hook, we remain … Continue reading

What the Hell’s the Matter with Maryland?

The Daily Caller says: There’s really no question by now that entirely too many school administrators across America are crazy, drooling morons. However, school administrators in Maryland — and some teachers, and a few students — possess a special, possibly bionic blend of stupidity and lunacy. Let’s review the indisputable facts. Amazingly, all of these ridiculous incidents occurred in Maryland in the last several months alone. Just last week, Ellicott City parent Robert Small was violently arrested and charged with two crimes for expressing his frustrations about the implementation of the Common Core at a public forum Thursday night in … Continue reading

Lt. Gen. W.G. Boykin Warns of Engineered Economic Collapse, Martial Law, Dictatorship

In this video entitled “Marxism in America” General Jerry Boykin discusses his background and training in understanding Marxist insurgencies and how current government actions parallel Marxist tactics. (hat-tip new subscriber: Tom Schuckman) Boykin’s words are spot on but it would be nice if our asshat elected officials actually listened to us.  The blizzards of emails, telephone calls, letters, and faxes result in little if anything. Now after the latest mass shooting at the Navy yard in DC, Zero has pledged more Executive Orders regarding gun control. At the same time he has pledged more support for the Syrian rebels (Al-Qaeda) … Continue reading

California School to Monitor Students’ Social Media

From Drudge and CNN: Los Angeles (CNN) — A suburban Los Angeles school district is now looking at the public postings on social media by middle and high school students, searching for possible violence, drug use, bullying, truancy and suicidal threats. The district in Glendale, California, is paying $40,500 to a firm to monitor and report on 14,000 middle and high school students’ posts on Twitter, Facebook and other social media for one year.           Though critics liken the monitoring to government stalking, school officials and their contractor say the purpose is student safety. As classes … Continue reading

Tribute To A Thug

Funny thing is….they were trying to spell “OBAMA”!   As nations hinge on the verge of World War 3, the band directors for one college marching band are focusing on what matters most: Trayvon Martin. This past Saturday, the Alabama State University marching band sculpted letters forming the name “Trayvon” during a halftime show.   A Tweet by the commissioner of the Southwestern Athletic Conference, Duer Sharp, said. “Bama State band with Trayvon Martin tribute,” and others reportedly “expressed pride and respect for the band’s tribute,” according to AL.com. Trayvon Martin was a Florida teen who was fatally shot during … Continue reading

Karl Marx for President !

Mark Dice continually shows the ignorance of the American people, especially when it comes to politics. In petition after petition, people are willing to support the most outlandish things, and are willing to sign most anything without the slightest clue as to what it means. This is particularly true of the libtards, and the younger generations. Just mention O’zero and, whatever it is, they can’t sign fast enough. UNFORTUNATELY, not ALL are libs or young. Check this one out . ~Terry ~~~oOo~~~

Elementary Students Being Taught Government is ‘Family’

From TheBlaze: Fourth-grade students in Illinois are learning that “government is like a nation’s family” because it sets rules and takes care of needs such as health care and education. So says a worksheet for social studies homework that was distributed to students at East Prairie School in Skokie, Ill, complete with a drawing of Uncle Same cradling a baby that represents the citizens. Students are then prompted to answer 10 questions comparing government and families, including how their family provides for their health care needs and how the government does the same, and what rules families set and what … Continue reading
