Obama Will Take ‘Executive Action’ to Reduce Prison Population

From CNS News: Congress can pass legislation giving judges more discretion in the sentencing of prisoners, but President Obama “also has the ability to take executive action” to commute the sentences of “low-level” drug offenders — and that’s just what he plans to do, Deputy Attorney General James Cole told the New York State Bar Association annual meeting on Thursday. “A little over a month ago, the President commuted the sentences of eight men and women who were sentenced under severe — and out of date — mandatory minimum sentencing laws,” Cole said. “But the President’s grant of commutations for … Continue reading

Guns Don’t Kill People, Democrats Kill People

From American Thinker: By David Waciski Headlines that blame a “gun culture” for the high rate of firearm- related homicides in the United States are not too difficult to locate (e.g., here, here, and here). The need to eliminate this “gun culture” is then used as justification for restriction of 2nd Amendment rights. What goes unmentioned about the so-called “gun culture” is its pervasiveness, or lack thereof, throughout our society as a whole. Even a casual reader of local news headlines should not be shocked to learn that firearm-related homicides are more prevalent in some neighborhoods than others. However, what may be shocking is the … Continue reading

One of the officers claimed Eckert’s posture was “erect and he kept his legs together,” which led him to believe Eckert may have been hiding drugs in his anal cavity. A search warrant was obtained, even though no drugs were found on his person or in his vehicle. The search warrant included permission to search Eckert’s anal cavity.  The warrant did not mention what kind of medical procedure could be … Continue reading

DEA Allowed Drug Smuggling in Exchange for Information

From Joe For America: An investigation by El Universal has found that between  the years 2000 and 2012, the U.S. government had an arrangement with Mexico’s  Sinaloa drug cartel that allowed the organization to smuggle billions of dollars  of drugs in exchange for information on rival cartels. Sinaloa, led by Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzman, supplies 80% of the drugs entering the Chicago area and has a  presence in cities across the U.S. There have long been allegations that Guzman, considered to be “the world’s most powerful drug  trafficker,” coordinates with American authorities. The NSA, Hillary and Shakedowns

Documents brought to light by Edward Snowden reveal that the NSA has the capability to turn on the camera and the microphone on your iPhone, even when it’s turned off. Snowden also revealed that two NSA programs, PRISM and XKS, can tap into all types of electronic devices. They can get into your email files, read them and even delete them with a simple keystroke. Hillary used those capabilities to silence and punish her enemies. The video doesn’t say, but the smart thing for Higbie and Fedenism to have done is make back-up copies of those files. It  would be easy to do using a … Continue reading

Gun Registration Begins

In Connecticut where they have now forced gun owners to register their weapons and Brian Lilly of Sun News in Canada explains precisely how this new registration law will lead to gun confiscation.   The whole idea of registration is ludicrous.  It keeps no one safe because the bad guys certainly will not register. Registration leads to one thing and one thing only: CONFISCATION New York City has already sent out letters notifying city residents that have firearms capable of more than seven rounds to be surrendered within 30 days since they do not meet the new laws enacted last year. … Continue reading

Detroit Police Chief: Legal Gun Owners Can Deter Crime

From The Detroit News:  “If more citizens were armed, criminals would think twice about attacking them”, Detroit Police Chief James Craig said Thursday. Urban police chiefs are typically in favor of gun control or reluctant to discuss the issue, but Craig on Thursday was candid about how he’s changed his mind. “When we look at the good community members who have concealed weapons permits, the likelihood they’ll shoot is based on a lack of confidence in this Police Department,” Craig said at a press conference at police headquarters, adding that he thinks more Detroit citizens feel safer, thanks in part … Continue reading

It Was His Turn to Get Knocked Out

From Weasel Zippers and the New York Post: The NYPD’s Hate Crimes Task Force busted a Brooklyn man for at least seven “knockout” assaults, cops said Friday. [Here we go again with the ‘hate’ crimes. It’s doubtful it was really a hate crime, more like a rush or a thrill to see how long he could get away with it.] Barry Baldwin, 35, punched out the victims between Nov. 9 and Christmas Eve in Canarsie and Midwood, police said. [I guess that blows the theory that it was something bored teen-agers were doing.] All of the victims were white women and … Continue reading
