Class Act vs Classless Hack

From Doug Giles Townhall   What a stark contrast I beheld this week between our Lyin’ King President, Barack Obama, and our American treasure, the Reverend Billy Graham. Watching the ninety-five-year-old Graham’s final message to America via the Fox News Channel last Thursday night hammered me in three particular ways. First off, as a self-professed hard-ass, I must admit that I was choked up by the testimonies of transformed lives of the black gent and the suicidal female twenty-something. Matter of fact, and I hate to admit this, I even started to tear up a bit and I haven’t teared … Continue reading

McConnell’s War On Conservatives

From Canada Free Press By Jerry McConnell: The Senate Conservatives Fund (SCF) Quotes Kentucky Newspaper on Senator’s War on His Own Party The Senate Conservatives Fund (SCF) “Senate Update” quotes one of Kentucky’s two largest newspapers, the Lexington Herald-Leader, which recently reported that “U.S. Senator Mitch McConnell (R-KY), the Republican Leader in the Senate, has decided to declare “war” on the conservatives who disagree with him.” Is it any wonder that Obama has lately had a smile constantly on his face despite all the negative press and disappointing news from his ObamaCare sources? Sen. McConnell (no connection with this author) … Continue reading

Charlie Daniels Asks the Question…

From CNSNews.com: What Has Happened to America?   The roll out of Obamacare, the abject failure of the website, the total confusion, people losing their private insurance programs before they are enrolled in the monstrosity that is the “Affordable Care Act,” the president making promises that he knows he can’t keep – and all the other sloppy inattention to detail, the amateurish attitude of those who are supposed to be in charge, and the overall unacceptable level of incompetence would embarrass even the most arrogant of presidential administrations and have the nation up in arms and ready to put up … Continue reading

Violations of The Constitution – The Fifth Amendment

Our Founders created the Constitution and Bill of Rights to guarantee the American people certain freedoms, liberties and rights. Over the years those rights have been trampled, manipulated and at times, grossly misinterpreted. This series will focus on examples of just how many of our rights have virtually been lost. The Fifth Amendment “No person shall be held to answer for a capital, or otherwise infamous crime, unless on a presentment or indictment of a Grand Jury, except in cases arising in the land or naval forces, or in the Militia, when in actual service in time of War or … Continue reading

A Survey of the Damage

From Dennis Prager via the National Review: The President Who Has Done the Most Damage The only question is whether it can ever be undone. I have been broadcasting for 31 years and writing for longer than that. I do not recall ever saying on radio or in print that a president is doing lasting damage to our country. I did not like the presidencies of Jimmy Carter (the last Democrat I voted for) or Bill Clinton. Nor did I care for the “compassionate conservatism” of George W. Bush. In modern political parlance “compassionate” is a euphemism for ever-expanding government. … Continue reading

Can We Finally Stop Pretending?

From American Thinker by Jeffrey T. Brown: Every day, it seems, more people who have been screaming their hatred for those who predicted all we see coming true are admitting what we have known all along. The president is incapable of telling a truth, and what conservatives have been predicting for three years about ObamaCare has been entirely correct. Indeed, we haven’t seen anything close to the worst of what is to come, since the system hasn’t even begun to function in its utmost state of disarray and confusion. We’ve seen a website and estimates of premium and deductible figures … Continue reading

How High?

Conservatives, especially TEA Party conservatives, have taken quite a beating lately. So much so, many have taken to hiding under their desks lest they endure more slings and arrows from energized forces of Statism. They would do well to remember cost of capitulation, and draw courage from the strength of their convictions. This is not a time for wound licking in corners. “I don’t measure a man’s success by how high he climbs, but how high he bounces when he hits bottom.” ~ George S. Patton How high will you bounce? Dennis P. O’Neil

Wild Bill: “The Worldwide Wife-Beaters Club”

Bill opines about the violence on women. Where is the National Organization for Women?  Where is the national media? Bill nails it again. ~ Hardnox

Violations of the Constitution – The Third Amendment

Our Founders created the Constitution and Bill of Rights to guarantee the American people certain freedoms, liberties and rights. Over the years those rights have been trampled, manipulated and at times, grossly misinterpreted. This series will focus on examples of just how many of our rights have virtually been lost. The Third Amendment No Soldier shall, in time of peace be quartered in any house, without the consent of the Owner, nor in time of war, but in a manner to be prescribed by law. In 1774 American colonists were forced to quarter British soldiers in their homes because of … Continue reading

The Militarization of Our Police

From Yahoo & Reuters: Column: The militarization of U.S. police forces This month, more Mine-Resistant Ambush-Protected vehicles (MRAPs) have found their way from the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq to the Main Streets of America. These are just the latest acquisitions in a growing practice by Pentagon that’s militarizing America’s municipal police forces. Police departments in Boise and Nampa, Idaho, each acquired an MRAP, as did the force in High Springs, Florida. The offer of war-ready machinery, at practically no cost, has proven hard to resist for local police departments. Increasingly, they are looking like soldiers equipped for battle. The … Continue reading

Remember the Alamo

From Yahoo News and AP: Armed gun rights activists rally at the Alamo SAN ANTONIO (AP) — Several hundred gun rights activists armed with rifles and shotguns rallied Saturday outside of the Alamo in a demonstration that broke a longstanding tradition of not staging such events at the enduring symbol of Texas independence. The “Come and Take It San Antonio!” rally was intended to draw attention to a right Texans already have — to carry long arms publicly so long as they don’t do it in a menacing manner. Organizers thought it necessary to offer a reminder after several open … Continue reading

White House Tours Resume Before Christmas

From Breitbart: On Friday, the White House quietly announced the re-opening of White House tours, despite the fact that sequestration, which supposedly forced the closing of those tours in the first place, has not ended.  The tours will still be held only three days per week as opposed to the original five, according to the White House, which gave that newsbreak to its allies at The Huffington Post. The tours will formally reopen on November 5. The Secret Service apparently claims that it has discovered how to manage money better and therefore can reopen the tours with alacrity. Robert Novy, spokesman for the … Continue reading

Sorry Conservatives, Science Says You’re Stupid

Kathy, here at ‘Nox & Friends,” put up a post entitled, “Tea Party Supporters More Scientifically Literate”.  I set out to do some additional reading about this and came upon the following article from livescience.         Low IQ & Conservative Beliefs Linked to Prejudice Stephanie Pappas, LiveScience Senior Writer   |   January 26, 2012 10:29am ET There’s no gentle way to put it: People who give in to racism and prejudice may simply be dumb, according to a new study that is bound to stir public controversy. The research finds that children with low intelligence are more likely to hold prejudiced attitudes … Continue reading

Walker Cuts Property Taxes in Wisconsin

From AP and Yahoo News: Wisconsin Assembly passes $100 million property tax cut, sends bill on to Walker    MADISON, Wis. (AP) — The Wisconsin Assembly, on a broad bipartisan vote Thursday, approved a $100 million property tax cut a week after Gov. Scott Walker proposed it, clearing the way for it to be signed into law by the end of the week. The measure sped through the Legislature with little opposition, allowing for the cut to be applied to tax bills mailed to homeowners in December. The amount of the cut will vary widely across the state but for … Continue reading

We’re Over the Target !!

After all the temper tantrums and fit throwing, King Oblamblam got his way with the debt bill. He took to the podium today to tell us how great this country is and why. He also saw fit to blast lobbyists, bloggers and activists.  Fast forward to about the 5:40 mark and listen to him (if you can stand it that long). He may as well have said ‘Pay no attention to the little man behind the curtain – I am the great and powerful Oz.’ It looks like we’re getting under that thin skin of his, and that makes me smile.  Blog … Continue reading

Tea Party Supporters More Scientifically Literate

From IJ Review: Yale Law professor Dan M. Kahan was conducting an analysis of the scientific comprehension of various political groups when he ran into a shocking discovery: tea party supporters are slightly more scientifically literate than the non-tea party population. When composing histograms of the scientific inference abilities of liberals and conservatives, he discovered that those who described themselves as tea party supporters came out pretty well, based on National Science Foundation standards of evaluation: The shift to the right on the gray columns represents a positive correlation between tea party members and generally higher scientific test scores. The … Continue reading

Limbaugh: “GOP Irrelevant”

It’s good to see the nation’s leading talk show host FINALLY recognize what we here at ‘Nox & Friends have been saying practically forever. “The GOP is Irrelevant” From World Net Daily: Rush Limbaugh, the leading conservative voice in America, is scorching the Republican Party as an irrelevant disaster which has apparently made a decision “not to exist.” “I was trying to think earlier today if ever in my life I could remember any major political party being so irrelevant,” the top-rated radio host said Wednesday on his national broadcast. “I have never seen it. I have never seen a … Continue reading

This from a guy who was running RINO Central on his show. Welcome home, Sean. Stick to THIS, and watch your ratings SOAR. From The Daily Caller.com   Hannity: ‘It may be time for a new conservative party in America.’ 5:55 PM  10/14/2013 Jeff Poor Media Reporter YOU two morons get behind this idea, it COULD work. I’ll believe it when I see it. As reports have surfaced that progress is being made on a deal to end the  government shutdown, Sean Hannity worries the Republicans may be  conceding too much. On his radio show on Monday, the conservative talker … Continue reading

More Veterans Going to Washington DC

I found this on Facebook from a group called the National Liberty Federation. Another group of military veterans is scheduled to arrive in D.C. tomorrow morning to carry out a second protest, demanding lawmakers immediately end the government shutdown. The protest is being organized by The Military Coalition (TMC), …a group of 33 organizations that represents 5.5 million people. Members are comprised of the uniformed services—active, reserve, retired veterans, survivors and their families. TMC’s protest arrives on the heels of the “Million Vet March” that occurred over the weekend attracting thousands of veterans who marched on the National Mall and then … Continue reading

Day 3 in DC: Veterans, Truckers and Barricades

The Americans are coming!! The Americans are coming!!   ~~~ And they’re tearing down barricades. ~~~ And posing in Iwo Jima style for the cameras. ~~~ And then cops on horses showed up…  ~~~ and cops on foot with all their bad-boy gear (Hey, officer these are veterans and some of them were shooting bad guys while you were still in diapers.) ~~~ After a futile attempt to run them off, a riot broke out. Oh wait, that’s not a riot, that’s Americans singing the National Anthem. ~~~ Where are they going and why are they carrying those barricades? (left of the … Continue reading
