Homeland Security Secretary: Illegals Have ‘Earned Right to be Citizens’

From CNS News: Speaking at the United States Conference of Mayors on Friday, Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson said the approximately 11 million people who are in the country illegally have “earned the right to be citizens.” “An earned path to citizenship for those currently present in this country is a matter of, in my view, homeland security to encourage people to come out from the shadows,” said Johnson, in what he remarked was one of his first public speeches since being confirmed as the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) chief in December. “It is also, frankly, in my judgment, … Continue reading

Young Voters

In case you have been wondering why we are in the sorry state that we are in politically, here are some young people from South Boston on election day in November of 2012: Granted this was only one polling place but you get the idea.  The problem is systemic and a direct result of our pathetic and worthless education system. ~ Hardnox

Holder: Voter ID used to Depress the Vote

Excuse me?  How is voter photo identification used as a depression tool? We need a photo ID to drive a car, purchase prescriptions, open a bank account, rent a car, purchase an airline ticket, cash a check, write a check, return merchandise, and a host of other activities. According to Eric Holder, one can only conclude that minorities are: too stupid to get a photo id, or… do not engage in any of the activities described above, or… engaged in voter fraud and do not want to be identified. So which is it? This meme of voter id being … Continue reading

Obama’s Election Commission Aims To Reduce Voting Headaches

From the Washington Examiner: No voter should have to stand in line for more than 30 minutes — that’s the goal of President Obama’s Presidential Commission on Election Administration, created to help problems that have hampered Americans’ experience at the polls in recent years. Obama announced the bipartisan commission during last year’s State of the Union address, and ahead of this year’s agenda-setting speech on Jan. 28, met with its members Wednesday to discuss their findings and how best to implement them. Reports during the 2012 election said many voters faced long lines and broken or older equipment at the polls. “I think all … Continue reading

Iran: ‘We did not agree to dismantle anything’

From CNN: Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif insisted Wednesday that the Obama administration mischaracterizes concessions by his side in the six-month nuclear deal with Iran, telling CNN in an exclusive interview that “we did not agree to dismantle anything.” Zarif told CNN Chief National Security Correspondent Jim Sciutto that terminology used by the White House to describe the agreement differed from the text agreed to by Iran and the other countries in the talks — the United States, Britain, France, Russia, China and Germany. “The White House version both underplays the concessions and overplays Iranian commitments” under the agreement … Continue reading

Gregory Hicks: Benghazi and the Smearing of Chris Stevens

From the Wall Street Journal: By GREGORY N. HICKS – Jan. 22, 2014 Last week the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence issued its report on the Sept. 11, 2012, terrorist attacks in Benghazi, Libya. The report concluded that the attack, which resulted in the murder of four Americans, was “preventable.” Some have been suggesting that the blame for this tragedy lies at least partly with Ambassador Chris Stevens, who was killed in the attack. This is untrue: The blame lies entirely with Washington. The report states that retired Gen. Carter Ham, then-commander of the U.S. Africa Command (Africom) headquartered in Stuttgart, Germany, twice … Continue reading

Bill Gates: There Will Be No Poor Countries By 2035

Microsoft founder Bill Gates announced that by 2035, there will be no poor countries left in the world. Is poverty really over, or is the United States simply transferring wealth to the developing world, increasing dependency and growing poorer in the process? Find out what Trifecta thinks. The meme of “Income inequality” is beginning to replace Global Warming/Climate Change.  The left has launched a new conversation to achieve their objectives. What do you think? ~ Hardnox

Funny Friday – Jan. 24, 2014

Nothing is funny….           …. Just kidding   —oo— —oo— A young cowboy  in a saloon one Saturday night recognized an elderly man standing at the bar who, in his day, had been the fastest gun in the West.  The cowboy took a place next to the old-timer, bought him a drink and told him of his great ambition to be a great shot…  Could you give me some tips?’ he asked.  The old man said, ‘Well, for one thing, you’re wearing your gun too high – tie the holster a little lower down on … Continue reading

Wookie: Jane Fonda Is My Role Model

Michelle Obama says Jane Fonda is one of her role models, and that she admires her political savviness. During an interview with People Magazine, Obama listed “Hanoi Jane” as one of the people she would like to look and live like when she’s “70 or 80” years old. “There’s Jane Fonda, a beautiful, engaged, politically savvy, sharp woman,” Obama said. Are you shitting me? Hanoi Jane is a traitor to this country.  She has blood on her hands.  Now she’s a role model for the wife of the president of the United States. My head is exploding. ~ Hardnox

Thought For Today – Jan. 23, 2014

“A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots … Continue reading

Illinois: Your Pot or Your Gun

From the Chicago Tribune: Patients who want to qualify for medical marijuana in Illinois would have to be fingerprinted for a background check and pay $150 a year — and give up their right to own a gun, state officials proposed Tuesday. The plan outlines how adults who have any of 41 specified medical conditions, such as cancer, AIDS or complex regional pain syndrome, may apply to get a patient registry identification card to purchase medical pot. The proposed rules are the first in a series of parameters expected to be outlined over the course of the year to govern … Continue reading

Obama Executive Order to ‘Cut Red Tape’ Has Added $10.2 Billion in Costs to Economy

From the Washington Free Beacon: An executive order issued by President Barack Obama that was designed to “cut red tape” has added $10.2 billion in regulatory costs to the economy, according to a new report. Tuesday was the third anniversary of Executive Order 13563, prompting the American Action Forum to examine the effects of the order. It was intended to reduce “redundant, inconsistent, or overlapping” regulations. The order was hailed as “unprecedented” by the president and former Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs (OIRA) administrator Cass Sunstein. However, Sam Batkins, director of regulatory policy at American Action Forum, found that the … Continue reading

Senior Blows Away Burglar With Shotgun

An early morning home invasion ended with the suspect being fatally shot and the 77-year-old Phoenix homeowner devastated over having to take his life but frustrated with the recent rash of break-ins. A local ABC affiliate reported that the homeowner, Russell Wildey, returned home from a dinner date Thursday evening to find that his home had been broken into and ransacked. “I mean every drawer was pulled out and dumped,” Wildey told reporters. However, with four break-ins since Christmas, the tired homeowner just went to bed without even bothering to call the police, but around 3 a.m. Wildey was awakened … Continue reading

Wall Street Adviser: Actual Unemployment is 37.2%

From the Washington Examiner: Don’t believe the happy talk coming out of the White House, Federal Reserve and Treasury Department when it comes to the real unemployment rate and the true “Misery Index.” Because, according to an influential Wall Street advisor, the figures are a fraud. In a memo to clients provided to Secrets, David John Marotta calculates the actual unemployment rate of those not working at a sky-high 37.2 percent, not the 6.7 percent advertised by the Fed, and the Misery Index at over 14, not the 8 claimed by the government. “Unemployment in its truest definition, meaning the … Continue reading

Carson: Are All The President’s Critics Racists?

From the Washington Times: A few years ago, I was participating in a national radio interview when the questioner asked me, “Dr. Carson, I notice that you don’t speak very often about race. Why is that?” I replied, “It’s because I’m a neurosurgeon.” The puzzled look on her face demanded further clarification. I proceeded to explain that when I take a patient to the operating room and open the cranium, exposing the brain, I am operating on the actual thing that makes that person who they are. The hair, scalp and skull bones are merely external coverings of the critical … Continue reading

Good Samaritan Prevents Mass Shooting

From Last Resistance: Gun Carrier Prevents Mass Shooting at Alabama Dollar General Store Gun-grabbers love to point out how no gun carrier has ever prevented a mass shooting. It’s a trick statement. If James Holmes had walked into the Aurora, Colorado theater carrying his semi-automatic rifle, and some movie goer happened to be carrying a semi-automatic handgun and shot Holmes before he was able to shoot anyone else, we would have never heard anything about the incident. It would have remained strictly local. Piers Morgan would say something like, “There’s no way that you could prove that Mr. Holmes would have shot anyone! In no way … Continue reading
