Iran President Hassan Rouhani warned Israel after an Israeli F-16 was hit by Syrian anti-aircraft fire and its two crew bailed out over Israeli territory.

Statement by the Press Secretary on the Situation
in Syria and Israel February 10, 2018

Israel is a staunch ally of the United States, and we support its right to defend itself from the Iranian-backed Syrian and militia forces in southern Syria. We call on Iran and its allies to cease provocative actions and work toward regional peace.

Just one day earlier, President Trump did an interview with the Israel group Hayom. which aired on Sunday, February 11th.  The Times of Israel reported on that meeting.

Speaking to the freebie daily Israel Hayom, Trump noted that while US-Israel relations were “great,” peace with the Palestinians would make them “a lot better.”

“Right now, I would say the Palestinians are not looking to make peace. They are not looking to make peace,” Trump said in the interview with the right-wing paper. “And I am not necessarily sure that Israel is looking to make peace. So we are just going to have to see what happens.”

“The settlements are something that very much complicates and always have complicated making peace, so I think Israel has to be very careful with the settlements,” Trump said.

Putin Response on the Situation in Syria and Israel

According to ABC News via Associated Press:  Netanyahu spoke to Putin about Iran just hours after the incident on February 10, 2018.

“Netanyahu says Saturday that he informed Putin of Israel’s intention to continue defending itself against any aggression and to prevent Iran from establishing a presence “in Syria or anywhere else.”

Russia backs the Assad and maintains a large military presence in the country. Netanyahu has met several times with Putin to coordinate military activities in the region.

Russia’s foreign ministry appeared to criticize Israel’s actions by saying it was “absolutely unacceptable to create threats to the lives and security of Russian servicemen.”

Netanyahu says he also spoke to U.S. Secretary of State Rex Tillerson.

Israel’s Ambassador to the United Nations, Danny Danon, says Saturday that “all of our warnings regarding Iran have proven correct. We will not tolerate any violation of our sovereignty.”

Danon is calling on the Security Council to condemn Iran’s action and “put an immediate end to Iranian provocations.

In its statement Saturday, Hezbollah said the “brave confrontation of the aggressing Israeli planes,” including downing an F-16, ushers in a “new strategic phase” that puts an end to the violation of Syrian airspace and territories. Hezbollah, which has sent thousands of fighters to back the troops of Syrian President Bashar Assad, said the developments mean “a decisive end to old arrangements.”

Yada, Yada! Of course, MSM chooses to paint Israel in all black leprosy garb while they want to put forth Iran and other Middle Eastern countries as being the aggrieved wearing white religious robes like protective gear and wailing as the horrible Israelis destroy their towns and people.

Both are at fault in their tit-for-tat existence. However, Israel would doubtless be more than happy to live within their borders and prosper in peace. Yet they have had to fight from the very moment the paperwork was prepared to defend their actions and their ancient homeland. But jealousy and hatred simply won’t allow that to happen.

This is nothing new…there have been many incidents over the years. The only difference this time is that both sides are posturing and pointing to the wrongs of the other and following suit with action. Both sides are no longer showing signs of backing down from confrontation and each act carried out against the other is escalating in its retaliatory actions.

For instance the list below is only a few engagements since 2014. Without doubt there is far more happening that the western countries rarely hear about.

12/10/14 –  Israeli air force carried out a series of surgical air strikes inside Syria. Such strikes are not uncommon in Syria and Lebanon—the Israelis frequently attack convoys carrying weapons to Hezbollah militants in Lebanon and to and degrade Syrian regime forces in southwestern Syria.

08/31/15 – The Israeli military carried out a raid in Syria targeting the cell that fired four rockets into northern Israel on Thursday. Four rockets were fired on Israel’s Golan Heights and Upper Galilee on Thursday, prompting the largest Israeli assault on Syrian territory in decades. Syrian fighter jet penetrated Israeli airspace over the Golan Heights in September.

12/07/16 –  Israeli missile strike targeted a military airport on the outskirts of Damascus. It is thought to have bombed weapons shipments intended for Lebanon’s Hezbollah movement several times since Syria’s civil war began in 2011.  Syria shot two surface-to-air missiles at Israeli jets—and they shot at the Israeli jets not even over their own air space.

03/17/17 – Israel targeted a military site near the city of Palmyra and other Syrian sites claiming that it destroyed a Hezbollah operated supply hub near the Damascus Airport. A Syrian drone penetrated Israeli airspace and was shot down. In October, Syrian government anti-aircraft missile launcher fired on Israeli jets patrolling Lebanese airspace. An Iranian military outpost in al-Qiswa, Syria, was hit by an Israeli missile strike during the first weekend of December 2017. The base was not yet fully operational, and no injuries were reported. Two days later Israeli missiles also struck a Syrian military weapons factory.

It has been recently reported in media, Hezbollah has an arsenal of an estimated 130,000 to 150,000 short, medium and long-range missiles and rockets and a fighting force of an estimated 50,000 soldiers, including reservists.  September 2017, a Hezbollah commander said there are some 10,000 fighters in southern Syria near the Israel border ready to fight.

In other words, it isn’t Syria aggressive posturing so much that is pushing the latest escalation though Syria has actively encouraged and assisted Iran through its factories and supply lines. They gained a bit of “courage” after Russia came to support Asshad and like little bullies decided throwing their own weight around while making money was great.

It is Hezbollah, an Iranian movement formed at the time of the Iranian Revolution to assist the Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini and his forces in consolidating power is now dug in and ready to fight in Syria. Hezbollah’s formation and growth is a result of Islamic Republican forces supervision by Hojjat al-Islam Hadi Ghaffari “a young protegé of Khomeini.

The interference of Iran in Syrian affairs as well as their continued use of products and services from Syria is at the heart of the Israel-Iranian problem. Their hatred along with their allies like Syria for all things Israeli from its people, to its right to exist, to its sovereignty as established after WWII, or its prosperity in the face of their choice of poverty and death is well-known. They refuse to acknowledge ANY thing that is not within their parameters or their control. Their refusal to advance their own people’s rights, conditions, or prosperity while a few rake in billions is obvious.

Will this ever end? Probably but only at a huge cost of life and annihilation of one or the other. The apocalypse scenario may well be the only end simply because Iran, Palestine, Syria and others refuse to live peacefully along side anyone but most especially Israel. They would rather be in perpetual state of war than eat or prosper or have their families live in peace.

Boy, what a religion is Islam….hate not brotherhood, death not enjoyment of life, destruction not building and blossoming as a country. Their leaders have a lot to answer for especially their religious leaders. May God’s justice rain down on them like the lava flow, ashes, and embers of an erupting volcano.

  1. SafeSpace says:

Excuse me, but that missile crash site photo is so obviously Photoshopped that I suspect Earl of Taint created it. Note the perfectly smooth edges of the supposed impact crater … the lack of any deformation to the visible metal surfaces which would result from instant deceleration … the tidy little flames. Gimme a break.

  2. SafeSpace says:

You gotta give the mullahs credit, though. They have enjoyed literally decades of financial support from weaselly western nations and the UN, simply by playing victim and steadfastly refusing to EVER agree to TRULY negotiate over territory and border security. Like the race-baiters who control a wing of our Democrat Party, they’ve discovered that one can collect a lot more money via saber-rattling and guilt-tripping westerners, than by actually, oh, say, building an economy and a physical infrastructure for your citizens.

  3. Wise Owl says:

Religion? Islam is a political conquest disguised as religion, and uses Allah as justification for their barbaric ways. Imagine if Republicans used God to justify killing, cheating, stealing, and controlling everything.

As for Israel, I have long said that for every Israeli that Hexbollah kills, Israel should kill 1000 Hezbollah. For every rocket sent to Israel, 1000 Israeli rockets should be sent in response. Overwhelming force is the only thing those miscreants understand. They would wise up REALLY fast, and co-exist peacefully, or be annihilated. Either way works.

  4. Whitetop says:

At least Trump identifies who the aggressors are when he says Palestine doesn’t want peace. How long has it been since a US president has called that spade a spade?

    • Uriel says:

Amen. To that! Which explains why he scares the crap out of politicians

    • SafeSpace says:

Barack Hussein Obama could not use the term “spade” without being accused of racism … at least by blacks over about 60 years of age. “Spade” is a 1950s-era slang term for a black man. At least it was in Pittsburgh.

  5. malenurseken says:

And I say send a mushroom cloud to SYRIA, IRAN, And N KOREA

  6. Hardnox says:

This idiocy will continue as long as the mullahs are in control of Iran. Too bad Batears funded them with $150 Billion in cash which funds a lot of bad behavior. Of course, this was his middle-finger to Netanyahu.

    • Uriel says:

True the sad indictment is that we almost 100% can be assured that nothing went to help Iranians and everything bought weapons. Not only that but it was spent before the plane ever touched down
