January 2, 2018 – Check out the question phase around 7:57.
“You are so strong when it comes to the freedom and dignity of the Iranian people but you have a different meaning of freedom and dignity when it comes to the Palestinian people, who’ve been brutalized for over 50 years of occupation,” the Arabic Daily reporter said to Haley on Tuesday, referring to recent protests that have broken out in Iran.
The reporter continued his question to Haley, asking “what made you believe that you are on the right side of history, when you stood alone in the Security Council against 14 members and 128 countries” who voted against Trump’s decision to move the U.S. Embassy in Israel to Jerusalem, and recognize the city as the capital.
U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley roasted the Arab reporter who was implying hypocrisy in the U.S. response to Iranian protests.
“I stood proudly, even if I was the only hand in the Security Council to fight for the will of the people of the United States,” she said. “They wanted to see the embassy moved to Jerusalem and we follow through with that.”
“We very much still want to have a peace process, nothing changes with that,” she said. “The Palestinians now have to show they want to come to the table. As of now they are not coming to the table but they asked for aid. We are going to make sure they are coming to the table and we want to move forward with the peace process.”
A tweet by President Trump on the same day had liberal heads exploding and probably quite a few Palestinians steaming as they tried to interpret his meaning or threat level. Oops!
Donald J. Trump
It’s not only Pakistan that we pay billions of dollars to for nothing, but also many other countries, and others. As an example, we pay the Palestinians HUNDRED OF MILLIONS OF DOLLARS a year and get no appreciation or respect. They don’t even want to negotiate a long overdue…
…peace treaty with Israel. We have taken Jerusalem, the toughest part of the negotiation, off the table, but Israel, for that, would have had to pay more. But with the Palestinians no longer willing to talk peace, why should we make any of these massive future payments to them?

On the subject of Pakistan, here is an Indian news channel post. In his first New Year tweet, US President Donald Trump has shocked Pakistan. He has hinted at stopping financial aid to Pakistan. India is apparently feeling vindicated for their stance that Pakistan had been a major behind the scenes player.
Nothing like coming out swinging on the first day of a new year. What a way to start. I honestly agree with both Haley and Trump as do most Americans. If people want an arbiter then they need to do a lot of work on their own. If they are looking for a deep-pocket credit card to feather some sob’s nest, then it is time the US shuts down access to that card.
I do wonder what will happen in the long run but then I am not good at “playing chess”. So others may have more information. BTW it appears there are protests in the streets in Pakistan after this Pakistan remark was aired. Sounds like any teenager who suddenly finds themself cut off from parental support.
What happened before is in the past. What happens now is more the will of the US citizens thanks to our president.
Perhaps Ray Locker of USA Today needs to take a step back and look at the overall picture and consider that what is stalling his platform goals is NOT Trump but a logjammed and half-corrupt congress.
