While officers view the President’s position on enforcement as courageous, the Trump administration has left all of the Obama managers and leadership in place, a group that ICE Officers know after the last eight years to be completely incompetent, corrupt and anti-enforcement.

While President Trump did create an uptick in morale at ICE through his support of enforcement operations, tensions are on the rise between Trump’s army of Obama holdovers and boots on the ground officers in the field, as behind the scenes Obama holdovers continue to undermine law enforcement operations and wage war against their own law enforcement officers.

“The Trump administration isn’t working with us at all, and that’s the sad truth of it,” said Chris Crane, President of the National ICE Council, which represents approximately 6,000 ICE Officers nationwide. “We have written commitments that the White House would be working directly with us every day, but it’s not happening.”


Crane cautions, however, that it’s hard to know what the President actually knows.

“His staff has told us that they refuse to give the President our messages and they refuse to set up a meeting with the President. I’m telling our guys to give the President the benefit of the doubt until we find out if the President is even aware of what’s happening. I think he’s a man of his word. I think he’s going to work with us.”


And America is about to find out if President Trump is a man of his word who truly cares about law enforcement, as ICE Officers are now attempting to communicate with the President publicly to bypass those who are fighting to keep ICE Officers out.

National ICE Council President Chris Crane has launched a website aimed at exposing corruption and gross mismanagement within ICE (, which he hopes will quickly expand to doing the same throughout the entire Department of Homeland Security.

No other group of federal employees has ever launched such an effort to bring transparency and curb government corruption. “As employees, military veterans and law enforcement officers we are ashamed of the problems that plague these federal agencies; we are ashamed of ICE leadership. We are ashamed of a Congress that just looks the other way and appears complicit. It’s time for transparency, it’s time to drain the swamp as the President committed to do,” said Crane.

Draining the swamp is no easy task.
Immigration officers helped propel Donald Trump to the Oval Office, but now they’re feeling left behind.

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers believed in Trump’s tough message on illegal immigration, but have found their hands tied to do much about it, thanks in large part to Obama holdovers, the Washington Times reported.

After complaints reportedly went unheeded, frustrated ICE officials launched a new website with the hope to light a fire under the Trump administration.

“ICE Officers grudgingly admit that the only President they ever endorsed hasn’t kept his word, and many officers now feel betrayed,” a statement by officers reads on the new website.

ICE Council President Chris Crane says he still believes Trump will deliver on his promises, but admits many within the rank and file are feeling increasingly frustrated and “stabbed in the back.”

The new website – JIC Report – ICE Reporting was set up using the President’s own example in order to be more transparent and also get his attention since they have been unable to do so thus far. It has been set up to report abuses and give voice to those in the field who are concerned.

Among the statements on the page are “whistleblower” accounts of what is happening and how those who have been held over from the Obama years have not been willing or accepting of the change in leadership nor the move to follow the laws as written.

Among concerns were some of the following:

1- Mismanagement of Vehicles and Fuel

Crane said he can’t accept a policy that would knowingly put an officer’s life at risk for the sake of political correctness and demanded the immediate termination of any and all managers that authorize such rules.

Hundreds of ICE supervisors take unmarked police vehicles provided by Congress for ICE’s law enforcement operations, and instead of utilizing the vehicles for enforcement, as the America public entrusted them to do, ICE supervisors use the vehicles for their own personal use with no mission need.

It’s estimated that each ICE supervisor involved is gouging American taxpayers for approximately $5,000 annually in free fuel alone. The wealthiest of federal employees literally gave themselves a $5,000 raise without the approval Congress, or anyone else, and taxpayers are footing the bill. Not only that but they have been providing managers free gas allotments.

They’re knowingly hurting their own officers and throwing public safety aside as they rob much-needed equipment from their own officers and law enforcement operations in the field. Officers report instances in which not one single vehicle is available for making arrests because all ICE enforcement vehicles in the area have been issued to supervisors for their personal use.

2- Political Correctness overload.
In several instances, ICE officers have been ordered by managers to NOT wear their bullet proof vests saying that illegal aliens might find it offensive. This puts the lives of officers at risk and should have a “Zero Tolerance” level.

3- ICE managers making “deals” with city officials such that officers are required to give notice of entry days in advance. Of course many of their targets are “no longer available” after having to wait.

4- Mistreatment of officers where managers use a “guilty until proven innocent” policy. Rather than a full investigation of a complaint made by someone against an agent, the managers are requiring an immediate surrender of badge and gun along with a 25% pay cut. Such investigations get dragged out for sometimes as many as 24 months with the officer tied to a desk and unable to defend themselves or help their fellow officers. It is demoralizing at the minimum and dangerous precedent at the worst. Officers do mess up, they are human. Officers do at times overreact, that is a broken system of training. BUT they should be allowed the right to “innocent until proven guilty” just as all citizens under the constitution.

(I do agree there are instances where they may be at fault and need more disciplinary action. However, I do know that it is much easier to level claims of abuse for detainees who have activist representatives determined to destroy the unit morale and take down our enforcement capabilities.)


MANY of current ICE members have military backgrounds. They understand that their partners and the gear they have are their best option to carry out missions and do so safely. They understand chain of command. They understand their roles. They also know that corrupt management can and has put their lives in danger.

The families of these officers deserve to know that their members are as safe as possible and that their officers are respected with top-notch management who have their backs. The officers deserve to know that those who lead them are ones who understand that laws must be followed not ignored.

I hope President Trump and General Kelly realize that these men and women would not have done such a drastic measure had they not felt desperate and that their voices and concerns were being ignored. Part of the reason President Trump got their attention was that he appeared to care deeply about both their lives and the rules of law they were hired to enforce.

Personally, I think it is a GOOD idea at least in the short-term for this website. After all President Trump has had to deal with doing the same in order to get his message out since before he took office.

I think a closer look at many of the Obama era holdovers in the different agencies is going to find the same problems occurring. I get that there is a real shortage of personnel with experience especially if there is a major purge. But without the purge, we will continue to see problems and I truly believe we will find that they have been working counter all along. 

Obama and the threat of a revolt is very real unless we do something soon including arresting the main characters like Obama and his cohorts. Unfortunately that appears to be a reality these days not just a conspiracy theory.

How better to disrupt than to hobble or remove loyal, patriotic enforcement personnel?


PS — if any of our readers have the President’s ear, please pass on that I support these men and women. We support law and order. And those in enforcement deserve the best management and equipment possible given how dangerous their jobs are and that lives are at stake. Cities that can’t or refuse to at least communicate without “deals” need to be reminded that NATIONAL SECURITY trumps their political correctness every minute of the day.

Update – Also note this brings into question the nomination of Thomas Homan to serve as Director of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) since he is currently the Acting Director of ICE and under his watch these things are happening.

    Item 1: It is federal law that an employee can NOT take a gov vehicle home or use it for personnel use. This is grounds for removal!
    Item 2: There are simple ways around this one, but this would also be cause for removal, employee safety regulations.

    It’s fairly simple, identify all those breaking policy, document, and fire. Federal Policy.

      Hi Ragnar. One would think so. Even states have problems with this one. The part that really pissed me off was the command not to use protective gear and forcing wait times to do their jobs.
