If the bill this guy is talking about was accurately described in the video, it won’t withstand judicial scrutiny.

Per the 5th Amendment, people can’t be deprived of their property without “just compensation”, meaning the government has to pay them for that property. This guy says the proposed bill doesn’t provide for that, it requires that people simply give up or destroy their property. That’s a judicial epic fail.

We just had something similar out here in Soviet Commiefornia. For a couple of decades now we’ve had a “high cap” magazine ban in place, 10-round limit. But when the ban was enacted, those mags already in the state were grandfathered in and remained legal.

Last year, as part of a sweeping gun control proposition which passed, those grandfathered mags were banned, and they had to either be turned into the cops, sold out of state, or destroyed. No provision for “just compensation”.

Well, a couple of months ago that expanded ban was thrown out by the courts.

And the RINOS wonder why we are coming after them. Agree with Brian, but given the corrupt court system, it’s tough to bank on them. Exhibit A, Obamacare.

Someone should demonstrate to the honorable (I use the term loosely) congressman that it is possible with a little practice, to fire an AR-15 type rifle at a high rate of fire WITHOUT a bump stock or any other modifications. You hold the weapon at your hip and apply some forward pressure on the fore end while you try to hold your trigger finger stationary. The resulting recoil with force the rifle back and forth and if your finger is steady enough, a high rate of fire will result. This is where the idea for the bump stock came from.
Some people have a hard time getting the hang of it.

Why don’t they just legislate against murder? Put up signs on every street corner, “Murder Is Illegal.”
Or, congress should just pass an Australian or U.K. type of complete ban.
Then we shall come out of our homes and settle the issue once and for all.
“Shall not be infringed” was written with the blood of patriots.

Don’t overlook the actual point of this bill, people. At this point the gun grabbers KNOW that semi-auto rifles can bump fire without any of the items mentioned in the bill they want to outlaw. When YOU point this out to them, they’ll respond “if there is no way to stop people from bump firing these weapons, then the only thing we can do IS TO OUTLAW THESE RIFLES!” I say, NO COMPROMISE WHATSOEVER.
