    Amen — again and again!

Shout Reagan’s words into the stopped-up ears of my older, soon-to-turn-66 brother who has changed his name two or three times over the decades; whose second wife is a pagan-wiccan high priestess; and who is STILL searching for himself: An aging, long-haired-since-1966 hippie wandering back and forth between Canada and the States…often chasing the ghost of a long-dead, obscure singer in hopes of writing a book about her.

He called President Bush and previous Canadian PM Harper fascists…so y’all know how he adulates the likes of BHO and Justin Trudeau.

He told me over ten years ago that Judeo-Christianity was the worst thing to ever happen to humankind…not too long after, he made the mistake of telling me after our mother passed away that hospice had been ineffectual in keeping her pain at bay…and that if he’d been so able, he would have given our mother a lethal injection in her ALF room when her second husband David — a Holocaust survivor who lost twin baby brothers! — and I weren’t there. I told David I could never morally tell him why I broke off with my brother…

I *must* add that my brother’s wife is also a “wedding officiant”. Quoth the website: “She is available to conduct spiritual, same-gender or non-denominational wedding ceremonies, including ones designed to include children in blended families, vow renewals, as well as baptisms, naming ceremonies and celebrations of life.”

As my dear SafeSpace noted long ago,, there’s no need to read fiction when the likes of it are always happening around us every day…often in our own families.
