Quote of the Day

You know what makes me sick to my stomach? When I hear grown people say that kids have changes. Kids haven’t changed. Kids don’t know anything about anything. We’ve changed as adults. We demand less of kids. We expect less of kids. We make their lives easier instead of preparing them for what life is truly about. We’re the ones that have changed.

I served in the Army in the 8th Infantry Division. I drove big rigs!!! My kids were not spoiled nor waited upon. The grandparents did just fine on that one. I wanted my kids to be responsible and to know that “for every action, there is a reaction.” My daughter decided the join the Army, like her mom. Her dad had served in Special Forces. Airborne Ranger. She did the same. I was super proud of her. Sorry to say that my son passed away from liver disease 2 years ago. He is sorely missed!!!

Hey vonM!!!! did you participate in the SCA? I always thought about doing that. I think I’d pick the Revolutionary War as my battle!!!
