Solar eclipse path  will overwhelmingly pass over Trump Country

Is the eclipse throwing shade at Clinton supporters?

The path of ideal viewing spots for this month’s highly-anticipated total solar eclipse cuts overwhelmingly through places that voted for President Trump in November.

There are about 240 counties roughly along the central path of the eclipse, a 70-mile-wide trail extending across the country where people will be able to see a total eclipse, meaning the sun will appear completely obscured by the moon.

And about 92 percent of those counties swung in Trump’s favor, while fewer than two dozen counties voted for his opponent, Hillary Clinton.

Trump won many of those counties by a wide margin, securing an average of 71 percent of the vote in counties he won along the path. Clinton, by comparison, got only about 56 percent of the vote in counties she won along the eclipse path.

And of the more than 6.2 million votes cast in those counties for one of those two candidates, 59 percent were for Trump, while 41 percent were for Clinton.

That stands in stark contrast to the overall results of the 2016 election, in which about 51 percent of votes cast for either candidate went to Clinton, while about 49 percent went to Trump.

Even Clinton voted for Trump — Clinton, Mo., that is. The county lies right along the heart of the total eclipse’s path, and 69.2 percent of voters there cast their ballot for Trump.

The eclipse on Aug. 21 will be visible to people across the United States, but in most areas, the view will be of a partial eclipse. People will only be able to see a total eclipse if they’re located along the “path of totality,” which will start near Lincoln City, Ore., and end near Charleston, S.C.

Still, it’s not entirely surprising that the eclipse’s path of best perspective could slice through the entire country while mostly avoiding areas that backed Clinton.

While she won the popular vote, Trump won the Electoral College and about 84 percent of the country’s 3,100-plus counties.

Clinton won more voters overall because she captured densely populated urban areas, including New York City, Los Angeles, and Boston. Trump, by contrast, won many rural areas with small populations.

Perhaps it’s not a surprise that the solar eclipse is passing over Trump strongholds given that the president himself was born during a lunar eclipse.

On June 14, 1946, the day Trump was born, there was a total lunar eclipse, though it wasn’t visible from the United States, NASA records show. Instead, it could be seen from parts of South America, Europe, Africa, Asia, and Australia.

The highlighted counties show, roughly, the path along which people will have the best views of the Aug. 21 total solar eclipse. Counties shaded red voted for Trump; those in blue voted for Clinton.

Democrats predict Trump will destroy the Sun on August 21

Democrat lawmakers and climate change scientists warn that Trump’s disastrous environmental policies will culminate in the destruction of the Sun on August 21, 2017
Since taking office, Donald Trump has been rolling back Obama-era policies that curbed climate change on the pretense of liberating business owners from unnecessary job-killing regulations. However we now know that President Obama’s environmental regulations were the only thing keeping the world from being plunged into total darkness.
“Less than a year ago, none of us could imagine a President Trump …,” Nobel laureate Al Gore said while on a tour promoting his new movie An Inconvenient Squeal. “… Now imagine a world without a Sun!”
Most scientists believe that the destruction of the Sun will be an extinction level event, turning the Earth into frozen wasteland where the surface temperature will be minus 400 degrees Fahrenheit. However climate change scientists like hockey-stick inventor Dr. Michael Mann warn that not even the destruction of the Sun will counter man-made global warning.
A protest of Trump’s Sun-destroying presidency is planned for August 21. While climate scientists, environmentalists, and Hollywood celebrities pray to Gaia, Senator Maxine Waters intends to introduce legislation to create a new sun named the “Hillary Clinton Star” which should appear after a few minutes of darkness.

SURPRISE, SURPRISE ! They are both written by FAKE NEWS media.

The 1st article ran in The Boston Globe, a typical left-leaning fish wrapper. I assume they are attempting to protest the favoritism displayed by the sun, and surely there is a sublime message that somehow Russia arranged it for the man they helped put into office.

The 2nd article is from Peoples Cube  , who actually bill themselves as a satire blog.

I guess it really doesn’t matter who wrote what, as long as Trump was responsible for the sabotage.

I know it was a trick question, but it’s so hard to tell them apart these days.

No kidding on that Terry but as to the two I choose umm door number 3 the one where Dems bankrupt themselves and wave a white flag to surrender

    • Terry says:

      Good choice Uriel.
I don’t foresee the left going financially bankrupt anytime soon with all the globalists backing them.
Morally, they have been bankrupt for a looooong time.

  2. Wendy says:

One thing will never change. The LIBTARDS will always be losers!!!

  3. Bullright says:

They’ve gone over the edge. Interpretation: Al Gore was cheated in 2000– the year of the lie. Hillary Clinton was cheated by the unpopular vote in 2016. It’s all becoming clear now. There are 16 years between those two Global Warming phenomena = Trump. It’s no coincidence, is it? LOL Oh, and Al Gore is still of prophet of sumpthin.

  4. Hardnox says:

It never ceases to amaze me that lefties believe themselves the arbiters of thought, knowledge and progress despite the fact that everything they have ever touched, uttered, or attempted to build has turned to shit. Now that their utopian goals and ideals have been resoundly rejected and they now claim they have been cheated in some magical way by knuckle-dragging citizens who were finally convinced Trump was someone worthy of their votes.

Did I pass the fake News test? Everything the left has ever spewed is always crap.

  5. SafeSpace says:

Suggestion: Buy some of those cheapo Chinese “eclipse sunglasses”, the ones that are about as dark as your standard clip-ons, and hand them out to every leftist you can find in the path of the eclipse. Then later that evening, work the same crowd selling white canes.

Where I live in northeast GA, we are to enjoy a bit over two full minutes of totality. Our five-county rural mountain region has been warned by the area C of Cs to expect upwards of 100,000 weekend visitors. Driving will be impossible. Verizon has warned that their cell network will collapse as it cannot handle the additional traffic load. The local DSL provider has said the same about web access. The grocery stores anticipate food shortages. Schools, banks, government offices are all closing for the day of the eclipse. I’ve got a good view from the horse pastures here in the campground. If I get any interesting photos, I’ll post an article with them.
