The Director of the FBI is selected by POTUS and confirmed by the Senate for a single 10-year term. This procedure closely parallels that used to place Justices on the Supreme Court bench. And in both cases, our nation can either rest comfortably knowing that justice is being served … or not. As the Bureau and SCOTUS both perform critical roles in the interpretation and enforcement of American law, and in protecting our Constitution, it goes without saying that only clear-thinking, legally-educated, and apolitical (as in not allied with either left or right) men and women should serve in these positions.
Barack Hussein Obama appointed James Comey as Director of the FBI. Comey had a known track record as a man who put two things ahead of honest and unbiased service to the Bureau and our country: His career and his allegiance to leftist politics. Dubya Bush appointed Comey as Deputy AG in 2003. While John Ashcroft was hospitalized Comey briefly took over the reins via a very controversial and politically-crafted maneuver. Comey’s actions among other things torpedoed the career of Alberto Gonzales, and very likely led to his appointment to Bureau chief by Obama. If you’re a leftist, you believe Comey acted courageously to stop an out-of-control Bush White House. If you’re a conservative, you believe that Comey allied himself with Chuck Schumer to frustrate Dubya’s governance of our nation. (I’ve written about this here on Hardnox before; here’s a link to the background info):
During the last months of King Putt’s Regime and the first months of Trump’s Administration, James Comey (along with his BFF James Clapper) performed some dance moves worthy of a 1970s R&B group, to perpetuate the myth of Russian “collusion” and “theft” of the 2016 Presidential election — even after stating on the record that ZERO evidence existed, and that President Trump was NOT under investigation. But the ever-cautions and self-protective Comey made those statements to the Senate in a closed-door hearing, thus giving Chuck Schumer and his asshat pals ample cover to perpetuate the narrative.
Comey, like a good Cub Scout, stood to one side of the tiny spark in the kindling of bullshit and allowed it to be fanned, until a mighty cloud of smoke arose and blotted out the truth. And his apparent masters, the Democrats, seized that minuscule flame of deception, and are still carrying it aloft as if it were the Olympic Torch.
For his part, James Clapper is still leaking like a defective ostomy bag, spreading bullshit around the MSM about Trump’s “involvement” with the Russians — again, after previously saying that ZERO evidence exists:

James Comey, all six feet eight inches of him, comes across as a coward, a narcissist, and a self-promoter. How else do we describe a man who qualifies EVERYthing he says under oath with the phrase “as far as I know”? What else do you call a man who said he was “afraid” to dine alone with Donald Trump? I’d call this man Slick Jimmy, but Bill Clinton already owns that
So here’s the $64,000 question: How many FBI investigations during Comey’s tenure as Director were compromised by Comey’s self-protective caution and leftist leanings? How many good agents at the Bureau had their points of view skewed by a left-leaning Director? How many good agents quit rather than compromise their oaths of loyalty to our nation? And how in Hades can we now rely on the FBI to execute its mission?
And what is that mission? “…. to protect and defend the United States against terrorist and foreign intelligence threats, to uphold and enforce the criminal laws of the United States, and to provide leadership and criminal justice services to federal, state, municipal, and international agencies and partners; and to perform these responsibilities in a manner that is responsive to the needs of the public and is faithful to the Constitution of the United States.”
We can rest easy knowing that a reliable and honest President is appointing the new Bureau director. But what a task likely confronts him, to repair the morale and loyalty of his troops, and to restore the trust of the conservative half of the American electorate in the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
