Comey Reaches “Martyrdom” Status From Hypocritical Liberals

Kellyanne Conway: Democrats want to make Comey a ‘martyr’ after firing

In today’s news, Hannity and Kellyanne Conway talk about the current brouhau from Democrats. See their article and video HERE.

Let’s look at the  Google search for three pages on these MSM and two of the top stories:

Washington Post: 30 postings at least in 2 days not counting Twitter  Examples:

May 10, Jenna Johnson and Robert Costa – “After Trump fired Comey, White House staff scrambled to explain why”….Spicer spent several minutes hidden in the darkness and among the bushes near these sets… Some have then wondered aloud if the president is instead trying to punish Comey for investigating ties between his campaign and Russia. (cue the spy theme music)

May 10, Kim Soffen and Kevin Uhrmacher  – “With Comey’s dismissal, the Russia investigation will soon be run by Trump allies”…President Trump fired FBI Director James B. Comey, who was fewer than four years into what was supposed to be a 10-year term, on Tuesday evening. (Seriously? Comey was all about partisan politics given his treatment of the email scandals and the “get out of jail” cards sent to all of Hillary’s flunkies even though he was in a Non-Political position)

New York Times: 18 possibly more postings not counting Twitter in 2 days. Examples:

May 10, Maggie Haberman, Glenn Thrush, Michael S. Schmidt, and Peter Baker  – “‘Enough Was Enough’: How Festering Anger at Comey Ended in His Firing”…The collision between president and F.B.I. director that culminated with Mr. Comey’s stunning dismissal on Tuesday had been a long time coming. To a president obsessed with loyalty, Mr. Comey was a rogue operator who could not be trusted as the F.B.I. investigated Russian ties to Mr. Trump’s campaign. To a lawman obsessed with independence, Mr. Trump was the ultimate loose cannon, making irresponsible claims on Twitter and jeopardizing the bureau’s credibility. (this one is at least reasonable and does make a case)

May 11, Maggie Haberman, Glenn Thrush, Michael S. Schmidt, and Peter Baker  – “In a Private Dinner, Trump Demanded Loyalty. Comey Demurred.”…Only seven days after Donald J. Trump was sworn in as president, James B. Comey has told associates, the F.B.I. director was summoned to the White House for a one-on-one dinner with the new commander in chief. The conversation that night in January, Mr. Comey now believes, was a harbinger of his downfall this week as head of the F.B.I., according to two people who have heard his account of the dinner. (Okay so Comey who is supposed to have been a reasonably non-media, non-political director talks to his boss over a table set for two and yet has no problem discussing it with media? Why are two people talking about a One-On-One dinner at the White House — so much for employees respecting their positions of trust and confidence? Anyone bother to think about these angles in writing this article? PS nothing like showing contempt for the position by not correctly writing Commander-in-Chief)

CNN: 18 postings at least in 2 days not counting Twitter   Examples:

May 11, Brad Parks, Kevin Conlon, Rosa Flores, David Shortell, Sara Weisfeldt, Meridith Edwards, Jaide Timm-Garcia, Jason Kravarik, Miguel Marquez, Bill Kirkos and Eliott C. McLaughlin – “Many Trump backers are ‘totally OK’ with Comey firing”…President Donald Trump is under fire again, this time for his firing of former FBI Director James Comey. But many of his supporters aren’t joining the outcry…multiple interviews with supporters and their reactions. (Actually this did appear to be a very interesting take on the issue.)

May 11, Kevin Liptak – “Trump contradicts spokeswoman on effect of Comey firing, says it may ‘lengthen out the investigation”…President Donald Trump said Thursday that he feared his firing of FBI Director James Comey could confuse Americans, but went ahead with the plan anyway…But he said he did it anyway “to do the right thing for the American people.”…video interview with Trump. (actually kept to the script and offered little opinion or drama)

NBC: 14 postings at least in 2 days not counting Twitter (includes affiliate stations)   Examples:

May 11,  Kalhan Rosenblatt and Ken Dilanian – “Trump Told He Would Not Be Greeted Warmly at FBI: Officials”…The White House has abandoned the idea of President Trump visiting FBI headquarters after being told he would not be greeted warmly, administration officials told NBC News”…after the FBI told the White House the optics would not be good…FBI officials made clear that the president would not draw many smiles and cheers, having just unceremoniously sacked a very popular director. (Say what? You have an employee now embedded in the FBI one speaks authoritatively for the agency? Optics? “FBI agents are ready to revolt over the cozy Clinton probe” on October 6, 2016. “FBI Agents Say Comey ‘Stood In The Way’ Of Clinton Email Investigation” October 17, 2016)

May 12, Chuck Todd, Mark Murray, and Carrie Dann – “The White House’s Explanation for Firing Comey Crumbles”…In the last 48 hours, the Trump White House’s initial explanations for firing former FBI Director James Comey — as well as other details it provided — have crumbled… (Cue disaster requiem)

CBS: 11 postings at least in 2 days not counting Twitter (includes affiliate stations) Examples:

May 12, Katiana Krawchenko – “Sen. Amy Klobuchar: “Stunned” by timing of Comey ouster”…Sen. Amy Klobuchar, D-Minnesota, says she was blown away Tuesday by the news President Trump had fired FBI Director James Comey…”I was stunned that they did this… sandwiched in between Sally Yates’ testimony which was pretty devastating to the administration, and then he was supposed to testify this week about Russia, among other things,” Klobuchar said on the latest episode of the Takeout podcast. “They had the audacity to fire him. (psst — Comey was a classmate of hers…would Klobuchar not fire an employee of hers that repeatedly screwed up? Should we check her employee complaint records?)

May 10, Caroline Linton – “”I will be fine,” James Comey says in email to FBI after being fired”…A day after being fired by President Trump, FBI Director James Comey wrote an email to the bureau explaining that he is “not going to spend time” thinking about the decision to fire him or how it was executed…”I will be fine,” Comey assured his former staffers…CBS News obtained a copy of the email, which wasn’t sent by Comey himself but was forwarded by someone within the bureau. The email’s existence was first reported by CNN…Comey wrote that he has “long believed the president can fire a FBI Director for any reason or for no reason at all” and said he will not question that decision — and he hopes no one else will.  (actually a decent article and written from Comey’s perspective though he does come off a bit limp and stunned.  I do believe he believes the words about his agency people. But if we had an anonymous vote and all his employees were asked, would the majority of them also say he was a wonderful boss? In fact, should the head honcho be  campaigning for “best boss award” or actually be a stellar manager?)

ABC: 17 postings at least in 2 days not counting Twitter (includes affiliate stations)  Examples:

May 11,  Jordyn Phelps – ” The White House’s evolving story on Comey’s firing After Comey’s firing”… The White House continues to revise its account of the sudden dismissal on Tuesday of FBI Director James Comey…White House press secretary Sean Spicer said that the White House had no involvement in the memo Rosenstein submitted. (well there are a few notes here…Spicer was on National Guard duty this week…not with his nose to the WH grindstone. 10/31/17 You know that. It took a lot of guts. I really disagreed with him. I was not his fan,” Trump said of Comey. “I tell you what, what he did, he brought back his reputation. He brought it back. He’s got to hang tough. A lot of people want him to do the wrong thing. What he did was the right thing.”  one incident, one respectful comment)

May 9,  Jonathan Karl, Meghan Keneally and Justin Fishel, “FBI Director Comey fired amid Russia probe”…FBI Director James Comey has been fired, according to the White House. (straight forward, no frills)

FOX: 7 postings at least in 2 days not counting Twitter (includes affiliate stations)    Examples:

May 10, Gutfield – “Greg Gutfeld on Comey Firing Fallout”…Trump has again “flipped the script,” pointing to Democrat lawmakers who have totally changed their tunes on Comey…Democrats like Sen. Elizabeth Warren, Sen. Patrick Leahy and Sen. Tim Kaine are now calling Trump un-American and authoritarian for firing the FBI director. (exactly damn if you do, damn if you don’t..goodness knows he has been sitting on his thumbs since day one the slaggard)

May 11,  Cody Derespina – “Rod Rosenstein at center of storm after Comey firing”…A little more than two weeks ago, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer called incoming Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein someone “who is independent, who would stand up for the law.” Schumer said just last weekend he was a “fair man” and “excellent” prosecutor. ..By Wednesday, that characterization of Rosenstein – who was confirmed to his current position by a 94-6 Senate vote – was dead. (the guy did not deserve to be brought into this….And out of curiosity — WHO gave the press permission to publish internal WH documents?)

Good grief these guys won’t quit….Washington Post what the heck—–there is NO real news happening in the world that needs to be covered, seriously GET A LIFE and DO YOUR JOB of reporting NEWS not poorly written Shakespearean drama. If you don’t agree with something Trump has done, fine. But how about facts not farts?

Just in case your brain-dead reporters need inspiration — How about the state of the economy, refugees  and illegal immigrants who are Killing people, ICE taking dangerous MS 13 members off the streets, crime rates, borders, a million other topics.

Liberalism IS a mental disorder. Once you realize THAT, their actions make sense.

  2. myfoxmystere says:

One question I didn’t hear, but should be asked: Is Chrissie Matthews feeling a tingle up his L’eggs when he hears Comey’s name? On second thought, maybe it shouldn’t be asked. Matthews might suffer runs in public.

  3. SafeSpace says:

All that stuff about the economy, illegal aliens, crime rates, borders …. doesn’t matter. The MSM is only interested in the soap opera and how their narrative is playing out. And they wonder why viewership and subscriber numbers are down ….

  4. comcast536 says:

Did you think that clearing the swamp would not have political push back. My question is who will be nominated to replace Comey? Will they come from within the FBI or Congress. If they go with the latter, Trey Gowdy would get my vote.

    • Uriel says:

I don’t think Trump (most of the US) realized just how sick and nearly out of control the Uniparty had become. They expected push back but not outright anarchy. National Security itself is comprised at all levels. If I were in South America I would label this an attempted coup frankly. I would like to see Gowdy bring the FBI back to some normalcy but I don’t think it would happen. I believe his talents would have been better employed at DoJ. But his presence in congress is also important.

  5. Hardnox says:

That’s all the Left/UniParty has. They are hysterically trying to take our prez down and they are losing.

  6. Uriel says:

Maybe. A fellow New Yorker who lived and had close knowledge of real estate and construction there did a good job of explaining Trumps nature on FB. There it is the toughest first response bravado that survives. Between unions governing every possible job, mafia, gangs, politicians, subcontractors, owned city agencies etc, it’s the ones tough enough with muscle to back their opening salvo that gets things done. As the guy said, I might not agree with all he does But I understand why he does it.

    • Uriel says:

I found a couple of conservative remarks yesterday interesting and Maybe highlights his stance. 1) he is playing to the media in a way that shows them up to the citizens 2) the last firestorm and yesterday’s tweet where he put words in “quotation marks such as wiretapping and tapes helps trigger narratives that force public to delve deeper even though he may not actually believe the allegations at the time. Virtually a shot in the dark then produces results not that he specifically said but that investigation produced.

      • Uriel says:

For instance his tweet on wiretapping produced a storm. He might have directly accused but that would have been against him and advanced the Lib narrative by tweeting in quotes suddenly the whole world was talking and speculating then confirming. At the same time nearly a dozen rule rollbacks actually made it thru congress for him to sign while attention was diverted.
