President Trump’s administration vs Muslim Brotherhood as a terrorist group

Foreign Powers Buy Influence at Think Tanks – 2014 NYT (tap)

An April 11 Brookings Institution report titled “Is the Muslim Brotherhood a terrorist organization?” senior fellow Shadi Hamid states that the Trump administration’s proposed designation of the Muslim Brotherhood as a terrorist group “could have significant consequences for the U.S., the Middle East, and the world.”

Gee, ya mean it isn’t already a significant problem…I mean golly gee whiz, starting upteen terrorist groups, bombing, raping countries and people, supporting or encouraging the vilest of barbaric acts, attempting to overrule our own laws or the laws of other countries around the world, or providing money, arms, drugs, slaves, or whatever isn’t a significant consequence of their determined effort to rule the world under the banner of Islam?  Shadi comes across as definitely shady.

First Brookings Institution’s Honor Roll put simply totally puts paid to who is funding this strictly liberal think tank. At one time think tanks were not supposed to be political, skewing politics for truth. Every year most are becoming more liberal in their findings. Brooks Institution is a prime example of this problem. Whoever provides them funds do so in order to advance their own agendas.  Given that many of those donating are liberals or from Middle Eastern countries, what could one reasonably expect to happen.

Earning its terrorist designation

In an April 11 Brookings Institution report titled “Is the Muslim Brotherhood a terrorist organization?” senior fellow Shadi Hamid states that the Trump administration’s proposed designation of the Muslim Brotherhood as a terrorist group “could have significant consequences for the U.S., the Middle East, and the world.”

Among many astounding claims in the report, the three most misleading among them begin with his statement that the Muslim Brotherhood is a “non-violent Islamist Group,” that “there is not a single American expert on the Muslim Brotherhood who supports designating them as a Foreign Terrorist Organization,” and that President Trump’s advisors were enlisting Americans in what Mr. Hamid’s calls, “civilization struggle.”

First, there is overwhelming evidence that Muslim Brotherhood is indeed a violent terrorist organization. The Brotherhood’s slogan is “‘Allah is our objective; the Prophet is our leader; the Quran is our law; Jihad is our way; dying in the way of Allah is our highest hope.” Thus, it shouldn’t come as a surprise that nearly every Sunni terrorist group in the world was either fully or partially founded by active or former Brotherhood operatives. Brotherhood-linked terrorist organizations include, ISIS, al-Qaeda, Hamas, and al-Gama’at al-Islamiyya. Moreover, the Brotherhood also has active militias such as, “95 Brigade,” a Brotherhood terrorist group founded in 1995, which is currently operating under the direction of the Brotherhood Guidance office. The Brotherhood also has a well-funded transnational multi-lingual propaganda machine, which makes it more dangerous…

Second, Mr. Hamid’s claim that there are no American experts on the Muslim Brotherhood who support its designation as a terror group, is wrong. The Middle East Forum, one of the America’s most renowned think tanks that specializes in Middle East and Islamic terrorism studies, supports the Brotherhood’s terror designation. Also, Mr. Trump’s advisor, Walid Phares, one of America’s most respected experts on Islamic terrorism and the Middle East, supports the Brotherhood’s terror designation. Andrew C. McCarthy III, former assistant U.S. attorney for the Southern District of New York, who led the 1995 terrorism prosecution against Sheikh Omar Abdel Rahman and 11 others, also supports the Brotherhood terror designation. Yet, Mr. Hamid chooses to ignore them, as he also chooses to ignore other facts…

Third, Mr. Hamid claimed that, “This language works to enlist Americans to join the “civilizational struggle” — an idea once reserved for those from the farthest fringes of the far right in the United States, now held by people in the very center of American power: the White House.”

Mr. Hamid may have borrowed the term, “civilization struggle,” or “A’mali Jihadia Hadaria,” (civilization jihad operation) from the Muslim Brotherhood’s International Apparatus. The nihilistic term first appeared in a 1991 document titled “The Explanatory Memorandum,” which outlined the Muslim Brotherhood’s strategic goals for North America. This memorandum was entered as evidence in the Holy Land Foundation terror funding trial in 2008, the largest terror financing case in U.S. history.

This wouldn’t be the first time the Brookings Institution engaged in misleading disinformation on behalf of the Muslim Brotherhood. For example, a Brookings Institution article stated that the fourth of the Muslim Brotherhood’s 10 Thawabet (precepts) in their bylaws, specified that “during the process of establishing democracy and relative political freedom, the Muslim Brotherhood is committed to abide by the rules of democracy and its institutions.”

This is a bold misrepresentation of the fourth precept. According to the Brotherhood’s own standards and internal bylaws, the fourth precept is violent jihad and martyrdom, which the Brotherhood states is an obligation of every individual Muslim, as well as the collective obligation of their organization.

There is a civilization jihad or struggle as Mr. Hamid called it, but it’s waged against America and the western world by the very people he is defending. To answer Mr. Hamid’s question if the Muslim Brotherhood is a terrorist organization, the answer is yes, indeed they are a terrorist organization.

Mr. Trump’s administration needs to designate the Muslim Brotherhood as a terror group. Congress should also require think tanks to disclose any foreign funding received, while lobbying Congress. These financial disclosures will help combat disinformation campaigns targeting lawmakers, including reports like Mr. Hamid‘s.

Trump shouldn’t need further “think tank” advice. And any think tank that couches a threat within their information should be held to task for their words. In the sixteen years since this all began, we have spent over a TRILLION dollars in a “non-classified” war against “radicals” and “extremists” all of whom have had source ties to the Muslim Brotherhood. We also know that several countries in the world have already declared them to be a threat and a terrorist organization.

So Brookings Institute has lost even a shred of respectability. Frankly, that our government is actually funding grants to this group or ANY think tanks is totally unacceptable. It is time to put a chain on unauthorized and suspicious grants issued by all the agencies in the federal government as well as forcing EVERY group listed under 501 to disclose all who donate and what the money was used for.

I think it is obviously time that ANY person or organization that supports or condones, group started by, funded by, or supported in any way by Muslim Brotherhood should also be under investigation and if found in violation should be sentenced for breaking the law under Title 18 of the Patriot Act.  That should include so-called unbiased or left leaning “THINK Tanks”.

This “unindicted co-conspirator” status is a bogus label too many have hidden behind over the years just as their financial manipulations to subvert our country have been hidden under the 501 c Tax Code. They were also allowed free rein by an obviously Muslim person sitting in the oval office for eight years and his cohorts in the executive branch as well as congress.

  1. The author is correct, the Muslim Brotherhood is a terrorist group!

    • Uriel says:

Hi Mark. I have never had a doubt they should be but Obama protected them. New sheriff hopefully NO protection.

  2. malenurseken says:

I say turn them all to dust! These Muslim country baby factories need to be anhilated! They Cant ask for grants NOR can our dumb ASS politicians give them money! OH well I guess they can POCKET IT! DRAIN DC!

  3. Uriel says:

lol malenurse Trump and his crew are definitely on the way to draining the swamp. Tillerson let go of about 9% of his state department crew and others are doing the same. I just wish we could see Soros, Obama holdovers, Muslim Brotherhood and their traitorous limbs removed as well. Sooner rather than later. Though I know the administration is in a tough spot with all that is going on and over 150 spots not yet filled.

  4. tiretramp says:

“could have significant consequences for the U.S., the Middle East, and the world.” Now they are threatening Me. my family, Pres.Trump and every one in the USA. Kick there Muslim ASS, goats and everything out of the country.

  5. You know those Terrorist Hunting Permits bumper stickers they sell? Here is a new one: The Second Amendment Is My Terrorist Hunting Permit! We may be getting closer to that day than you think, The day may come where someone carrying a rifle will become commonplace due to the threat level. We need to make sure we fight to keep the Second Amendment, it may become a matter of life and death for the Republic.

    • Uriel says:

Mark I remain hopeful and prayerful that this does not come to pass. However the practical side acknowledges this may happen. Obama, Soros and others should have already been dealt with they are the root agitators but the powder keg is reaching mass where nothing may stop the results.
