Yes, I know it’s Monday.  Yesterday was Christmas and I wanted to respect everything about it.

Philadelphia, Pennsylvania where a 30=year-old man tried to rob an automobile repair shop, but instead he was shot by the business owner – once in the abdomen, once in the shoulder and once in the buttocks. The last we heard is that he’s in critical condition at the hospital.

Elsewhere in Philadelphia, a pizza delivery man shot a thief who tried to rob him. The thief was shot in both legs and expected to survive his wounds.

In Aventura, Florida, three thieves tried to rob an Uber driver who happened to be legally armed and shot one of the criminals DRT (dead right there). That article points out that two other Miamians shot criminals this month in defense of themselves and their property.

A homeowner in Dallas, Texas, found an intruder in his home. There was an exchange of gunfire and the homeowner escaped from the home and locked the criminal inside. When the police got there, they found the intruder DRT (dead right there).

In Watonga, Oklahoma, a homeowner fought off two armed thieves by taking their gun away from one of them and hitting one of the criminals with it.

Several criminals broke into a home in Lubbock, Texas and began beating the man that lived there. His brother heard the commotion, and took a gun to the scene, shooting one of the criminals while the other escaped. The brothers held the wounded man until police arrived and took him to the hospital where he’s expected to recover.

The Rusk County Sheriff’s Office reports that a homeowner in Longview, Texas shot an intruder and that intruder was DRT (dead right there).

Two, possibly three men forced their way into a home in Phoenix, Arizona where they encountered an armed homeowner. One of thieves was wounded and the other was DRT (dead right there).

In Homestead, Florida, two fellows tried to rob a bank, they were thwarted in their attempt by an armed private security guard who shot one of the thieves DRT (dead right there) while the other escaped.

In Shelby County, Tennessee a man invited a couple of acquaintances to his home. The pair tried to steal his shoes and a gun fight broke out. One of the thieves and the resident were injured. The second thief was DRT (dead right there).

A fourteen year old boy shot a woman in Wood County, Texas who he thought was an animal, but turned out to be a burglar. She was taken to the hospital to be treated for her chest wound.

A woman leaving her gym encountered an auto-thief in Tifton, Georgia. She was armed with a .45 caliber handgun and fired a warning shot and held the crook until the police arrived.

Three men approached a 73-year-old retired police officer in Baltimore, Maryland who was sitting in his car. They tried to carjack him, but he wasn’t having it. A 13-year-old pointed a replica firearm at the septuagenarian, but he trumped that with a real gun and shot the teen in his empty noggin. The other two lit out leaving their partner behind – the teen is in critical condition.

I don’t know when or where this happened, but a clerk shoots an armed criminal for your entertainment;

In New Zealand, 77-year-old Jean Marais shot an intruder at his old age home. The crook was DRT (dead right there) when the police arrived.

Barbara Moles an 81-year-old Sultan, Washington woman was cleared of murder charges for the time last Spring when she shot and killed Steven Sheppard, 25, an intruder into her home who had a history of assaulting and robbing the elderly.

A store clerk in Candler, North Carolina got into a gun fight with a thief who tried to rob him. When the police arrived, they found the criminal unresponsive in the street, DRT (dead right there).

A homeowner in Orem, Utah shot and killed an intruder who forced his way into the house. The crook was DRT (dead right there) when the police arrived.

In Huntsville, Alabama, four men went to force their way into a home after picking up one of their friends from prison. The homeowner was armed and shot two of them, one of whom was DRT (dead right there). Three of the four (including the dead man) were out on bond for murder charges in another county.

    DRT means Dead Right There and DOT means Dead Over There we get it. You don’t have to explain it every post.
