Soros bands with donors to resist Trump, ‘take back power’
Major liberal funders huddle behind closed doors with Pelosi, Warren, Ellison, union bosses, to lick wounds, retrench.

George Soros and other rich liberals who spent tens of millions of dollars trying to elect Hillary Clinton are gathering in Washington for a three-day, closed door meeting to retool the big-money left to fight back against Donald Trump.
The conference, which kicked off Sunday night at Washington’s pricey Mandarin Oriental hotel, is sponsored by the influential Democracy Alliance donor club, and will include appearances by leaders of most leading unions and liberal groups, as well as darlings of the left such as House Democratic leader Nancy Pelosi, Sen. Elizabeth Warren and Congressional Progressive Caucus co-chairman Keith Ellison, according to an agenda and other documents obtained by POLITICO.
…Since its inception in 2005, the DA has steered upward of $500 million to a range of groups, including pillars of the political left such as the watchdog group Media Matters, the policy advocacy outfit Center for American Progress and the data firm Catalist — all of which are run by Clinton allies who are expected to send representatives to the DA meeting.
The degree to which those groups will be able to adapt to the post-Clinton Democratic Party is not entirely clear, though some of the key DA donors have given generously to them for years.
That includes Soros, who, after stepping back a bit from campaign-related giving in recent years, had committed or donated $25 million to boosting Clinton and other Democratic candidates and causes in 2016. During the presidential primaries, Soros had argued that Trump and his GOP rival Ted Cruz were “doing the work of ISIS.”
Examples of topics at the meetings:
Freedom to Marry – considered main film and movement in 2015 that pushed Gay Marriage through SCOTUS
Playing Progressive Offensive in 2017-2018, spotlights several groups efforts like MoveOn.org, 350 Action, CWA, Peoples Action
Climate + Equity – unfinished business

Politico article, by Kenneth Vogel, April 24, 2014: The left’s secret club plans for 2014, 2016
“The Democracy Alliance has steered cash to groups pushing to limit the role of money in politics, and the Chicago conference includes a panel on money-in-politics reform moderated by Soros’s son Jonathan, though George Soros is not expected to be in Chicago. Jonathan Soros co-founded a super PAC called Friends of Democracy that in 2012 spent $2.5 million — donated largely by Soros and his family — boosting candidates who support campaign finance reforms including enhanced disclosure, and it plans to spend as much as $6 million in 2014.” Article can be read HERE.
Who in the world is The Democracy Alliance?
The Democracy Alliance is a network of progressive donors who coordinate their political donations to groups that the Alliance has endorsed. As of 2015, the organization has approximately 110 partners who are required to contribute at least $200,000 a year to groups the Democracy Alliance vets and recommends. The Alliance has helped distribute approximately $500 million to liberal organizations since its founding in 2005. Members of the Democracy Alliance include billionaires George Soros and Tom Steyer. Note: a few in the group insist they are not a political organization but if Soros is involved they are only “whistling in the dark”.
The Democracy Alliance planned to spend $374 million during the 2014 midterm election cycle to boost liberal candidates and causes. According to the Democracy Alliance’s website, the group “was created to build progressive infrastructure that could help counter the well-funded and sophisticated conservative apparatus in the areas of civic engagement, leadership, media, and ideas.
Current Personnel according to WikiPedia: Gara LaMarche is the president of the Democracy Alliance. LaMarche, a longtime progressive activist and close ally of George Soros, assumed the post in 2013. Prior to LaMarche’s hiring, Hillary Clinton aide Kelly Craighead led the Alliance. Howard Dean has previously been considered as a potential president for the Democracy Alliance. The board of directors for the Democracy Alliance includes John Stocks, Patricia Bauman, Paul Egerman, Weston Milliken, Gara LaMarche, Mary Kay Henry, David desJardins, Nick Hanauer, Farhad Ebrahimi, Josh Fryday, Keith Mestrich, Fran Rodgers, Susan Sandler and Rob Stein. It does not allow membership names to be publicly listed.
The Alliance recommends a portfolio of progressive organizations that collaborate with each other. In 2014, the Democracy Alliance’s “Progressive Infrastructure Map” included 172 organizations, 21 of which were considered core groups. In 2015, the Alliance’s funding plans included 35 core organizations. Entities funded by the Democracy Alliance include:
Advancement Project, America Votes, American Constitution Society, Americans for Financial Reform, Ballot Initiative Strategy Center, Brennan Center for Justice, Catalist, Center for American Progress, Center for Community Change, Center for Media and Democracy, Center for Popular Democracy, Center on Budget and Policy Priorities, Color of Change, Constitutional Accountability Center, Demos, Economic Policy Institute, Issue One
Leading Green, a joint venture of the League of Conservation Voters and the Natural Resources Defense Council, MapLight, Media Matters for America, National Employment Law Project, National People’s Action, New Media Ventures, New Organizing Institute, Organizing for Action, PICO National Network, ProgressNow, Progressive Majority, Roosevelt Institute, State Engagement Initiative, State Innovation Exchange, State Voices, Wellstone Action, Women’s Equality Center, Working America, and Working Families Party. I am sure patriots will recognize a few of these groups as activists.
Until and unless Trump has the Attorney General or a Committee on Unamerican Activities investigates Soros and put him out of business in the US, this man and his many tentacles will continue to harass, affect, and instigate if not through progressive think tanks and other organizations, certainly through his activist groups that hire people and train them to become rioters and rabble rousers around the country. He Needs To Go!
It is logical that groups ban together with similar interests and promote or fund those that actively accomplish goals that the group admires or wants to see occur. It is to me totally unacceptable though that they pour millions and millions of dollars into any political party without oversight. The problem I have is that the more secret the organization, the more likely it is to go rogue and advance ideas and projects that are counter to our constitution and laws. At least with transparency if there is an objection or problem, then there is a trail to follow which is not invisible like now. It is time these people come out of the shadows and stop creating diversions and dirty tactics like the ones we have seen this election cycle both in video and leaked documents.
I would love to see Trump take away the hiding places in the 501 section of IRS, after streamlining taxes and cleaning house at IRS. Too many foreign entities, US churches, private and public groups, and governmental types are lurking in those 501 groups in order to evade taxes and create hidden accounts to filter funds through. Make them accountable just as banks are being held to higher levels of transparency.
SOROS FOR PRISON!
