California Has Moved So Far Left They Might as Well Hope An Earthquake Does Break Them Away From The US

California Has Been Pushing So Hard To Far Left,
I Am Beginning To Think They Consider Themselves A Sovereign Communist Nation

On their November 2016 ballot is the following proposition known as California Proposition 63, Background Checks for Ammunition Purchases and Large-Capacity Ammunition Magazine Ban (2016)

More detailed information can be found at Ballotpedia.  However, here is the gist of the mess:

What would Proposition 63 do?
Proposition 63 would prohibit the possession of large-capacity ammunition magazines and would require most individuals to pass a background check and obtain authorization from the California Department of Justice to purchase ammunition.

Ballot summary:
1-Requires individuals to pass a background check and obtain Department of Justice authorization to purchase ammunition.
2-Prohibits possession of large-capacity ammunition magazines, and requires their disposal, as specified.
3-Requires most ammunition sales be made through licensed ammunition vendors and reported to Department of Justice.
4-Requires lost or stolen firearms and ammunition be reported to law enforcement.
5-Prohibits persons convicted of stealing a firearm from possessing firearms.
6-Establishes new procedures for enforcing laws prohibiting firearm possession.
7-Requires Department of Justice to provide information about prohibited persons to federal National Instant Criminal Background Check System

Gun Owners of California had this to say in their September 7, 2016 post:

Standing up to high-level politicians that have the benefit of the Bully Pulpit isn’t always a popular move, but kudos to the California State Sheriffs Association, because that’s exactly what they have done in coming out in opposition to Gavin Newsom’s Proposition 63.

Not only has their statewide organization taken an official position of “oppose”, but many individual sheriffs have gone out on a limb and publicly condemned Newsom’s underhanded gun control drive as a wrong-headed effort. This week, Breitbart reported on a story in the Press Enterprise on Riverside Sheriff Stan Sniff and San Bernardino Sheriff John McMahon and why they believe Prop 63 is plumb bad for California.

Sniff stated “…many proposed firearms control bills are very poorly thought out, hastily drafted without appropriate expert input, and incorrectly proffered to the public as ‘making things safer’ in our communities.

“In some cases, these proposed bills actually make our communities less safe, and remove inherent rights of our citizens to self-defense, or worse, allow only the wealthy, elite or the well-off to protect themselves,” said Sniff, who was elected sheriff in 2007.

He also made sure the media knew of his active membership in pro-gun organizations, such as Gun Owners of California.

Sheriff McMahon then made it abundantly clear that additional gun control is not the most effective means to prevent gun violence.

“I generally oppose any legislation that puts any more restrictions or control on citizens having an ability to possess firearms,” said McMahon, who has been sheriff since 2012. “We still have people running around with guns that aren’t supposed to have them.”

Indeed. Those of us who are able to use both sides of our brain know that going after one, larger subsection of society (law-abiding) to cure the wrongs of another (law breakers) will never work. That said, Newsom has treated law enforcement as if they were an annoying fly – dismissing their concerns with a glib wave of his hand.

GOC, however, believes having law enforcement reiterate our fact-driven, Constitutional narrative is critical to defeating the regressive nature of gun control. We are grateful for their efforts in opposition to Proposition 63.

Today, Patriot Powered News came out with their comments on the topic – ‘House-To-House Confiscation’ Of Guns Will Be On California Ballot by Keith Jacobs in Survival & Preparedness

Many legal firearms will only operate with “magazines that can hold more than 10 rounds, making them effectively illegal,” the coalition noted.  “This backdoor gun ban is not just on future sales, but forces you to surrender your existing private property to law enforcement,” it added.  The coalition asserted that Proposition 63, if passed, will lead to “house-to-house confiscation” of guns and magazines.  According to the text of the proposed law, anyone who is caught possessing an illegal magazine can be jailed for up to one year. Current owners of such magazines have three choices, according to the text: 1) remove it from the state, 2) sell it to a licensed dealer, or 3) surrender it to police “for destruction.”

All I can say is California  ARE YOU OUT OF YOUR FOCKING MINDS?

At a time when we should all be worried and enforcement is getting hammered – who the hell is going to protect the average citizen.  Who you gonna call –Ghost Busters?

Oh I forgot, you idiots who have lots of money already have bodyguards.

It’s the average joe or jane or whomever who has to figure out how to survive bad situations.  You could care less in your drug induced haze courtesy of liberals and cartels.

Countries around the world are now considering arming their citizens or actually arming them to help with violence or sweeping the truth under the political rug with all the other issues.

Well YOU IDIOTS are doing the latter.  I suppose if one is so filled with drugs as it appears most of the liberal asshats in that state seem to be, then anything is possible.  Hey use that Cali twang and convince those criminals it’s okay, all they need is love and acceptance.

You are putting average citizens at risk not only of criminals but the justice system who might or could actually arrest people who are attempting to follow the Second Amendment.

One thing for sure you liberals have been too long on the sauce whatever that sauce is.  Between Pelosi, your governor and others, that is a lot of socialist polluting acid soaking into your brains through the smog.

Conservatives – are you honestly going to let these creeps, has beens, and juicers take away your rights?  Maybe it’s time to consider a move to somewhere more conducive to following the constitution or maybe pray that the “Big Quake” or tsunami removes the greater portion of these communists and liberal radicals.

  1. Outrageous. One positive aspect of this insanity in a state that is still full of many, many conservatives: This could throw the election in November. Maybe. The extra billion illegals in SoCal with newly minted IDs and voting rights will make that very iffy.

    • Uriel says:

There is that. Which Soros and Obama have been scrambling over the past year to get in. How he is going around the Federal judge I don’t understand on this.

      • Uriel says:

Maps of current voting delegates ARE showing how the Dem states that have pushed illegals voting definitely WILL affect outcome unless some miracle occurs.

  2. Popular Front says:

Years ago in the old National Lampoon there was an item about California under the first Jerry Brown ‘administration’. It mentioned that if the San Andreas Fault did let go it would catapult southern California into Vienna which, on reflection, is not a bad scenario. The Euroweenies get all the SoCal Liberals and Hollywood leftist poseurs and the USA gets to keep all that great NorCal surf and forests.

    • Uriel says:

Lol Popular. How would they go east to fall west? You sipping Cal OJ? But that sounds like a nice plan .

      • Popular Front says:

It gets flung West to East over the rest of the USA so regular American folks can have a good laugh as they wave it goodbye!

        • Hardnox says:

Someone can tether it to Guam since Congresscritter Johnson was worried about Guam tipping over because of all the extra Marines stationed there.

          • Popular Front says:

I remember that story ‘Nox and I also remember glancing at my desk calendar to check it wasn’t April 1st.

  3. Uriel says:

    Great comeback lol

  4. BrianR says:

Unfortunately, this prop is, in many ways, redundant because a few months ago Moonbeam signed a lot of those restrictions into law in the form of a bill introduced in the state legislature.

My understanding is that there are lawsuits already pending in the wings, simply waiting to see the election outcome on this prop (in case the lawsuits need to be amended), which will be filed before any of these laws actually go into effect.

    • Uriel says:

Hi BrianR. Thanks for the added info. I hope those lawsuits nail liberals to the wall. Who do they think will save them when they are accosted and no cop in sight. A few get hurt, I would wager their tunes change. You would think the massacre there would have solidified the need for private citizens to protect themselves.

  5. Hardnox says:

California is just about a totalitarian state. Damned shame too since there are a lot of conservatives living there.

When Trump builds the southern wall he might as well extend it north a ways. It will have a “beautiful” door where will will check IDs. 🙂
