A Message from I.R. Wayright to the GOP

Our loyal subscriber and frequent commenter received a fundraising request from the GOP.  Here’s the exchange:

GOP:  Have you given up on putting a conservative in the White House?

I.R.W:  No I have not.  I am hoping Ted Cruz pulls a rabbit out of his hat.

GOP: Did you decide you’re voting for Hillary Clinton?

I.R.W:  I would rather sand paper a lion’s ass in a phone booth than have to look at her for another minute.

I have never voted for a democrat in my life and I never will.  For one thing, they are not democrats anymore.  The republican party has been a huge disappointment for most conservatives for a considerable amount of time. You’ve been like Lucy holding the football for Charlie Brown.

I don’t have any money to send to you or anyone else. Even if I did I would not.  If you continue on the path you are now on, you will be relegated to the dust bin of history and a new party will take your place that listens to the people when they say, it is time to secure the borders, stop the “progressive” agenda, get back to the US Constitution and quit wasting so Goddamned much of our money.

One more thing, term limits for EVERYBODY!

Now, that was great!  Well done, take a bow.  You do have a flair for words… “sandpaper a lion’s ass in a phone booth…”  LMAO!!!!!!!!!!  🙂

I can’t help but wonder how many rejections, albeit not as colorful, the GOP gets these days.  I imagine a lot.

Most of today’s GOP is to the left of the last real Democrat President, JFK. (LBJ, Carter, Clinton, and Obama make Kennedy look like a Tea Party supporter). The establishment and power elite of the party don’t care about the Constitution, small government, or fiscal sanity. They just care about having power, getting media attention, getting the perks and prestige of position, public adoration, lobbyist money, and invites to the DC social scene events.

On a right-center-left scale based on issues alone (not personality or charisma) I’d put Rubio, Walker, Ryan, Fiorina, Carson, the Bush family, Romney, and Kasich in the same general area as Kennedy, a few points left of center, but with the center still within sight. McCain is another point to the left.

Since the Constitution is, by definition, the very center of our nation’s politics, that makes Cruz the one true centrist.

Trump? With his continual habit of taking all sides of every issue, and vague platitudes, is hard to pin down from his rhetoric. He certainly does support a more intrusive and all-powerful federal government, including eminent domain usage for private sector projects, even if he wants to make it more streamlined and efficient. His constant pronouncements of how HE will do things that are within the perview of Congress means he wants the Executive Branch to have even more power and control than Obama has tried to achieve.

I first heard the “Lion/Phone Booth” bit while attending basic training in 1968 at Ft Dix, NJ,. The line was delivered by a drill sergeant who certainly had a way with words.

Hard to find a phone booth these days. Much less a lion with hemorrhoids.

    • I.R. Wayright says:

      Right you are Capt.
They are as hard to find as integrity in Washington D.C.
I do believe they got the message, however.

  5. Rudy says:

That was great IRW. I always enjoy your comments. This piece made me laugh out loud. Thanks.

    • I.R. Wayright says:

Thanks Rudy, don’t you hate it when you get an email urgently requesting your opinion on something, and all they want is your money? Late last night I got the typical email and instead of just deleting it I fired off my reply at the email address that would work. That is not the same email I received it from. You have to sort that out.
So far, there are no black SUV’s hanging out near my house.

Ghads, IR, that was great. I gotta use much of it in my responmse to he next “gimme” email from them.

    • I.R. Wayright says:

They sent me a reminder today, thinking I forgot to send them cash.
LOL. I wish they would get a clue. We’re not buying BS anymore.
