A Heads Up For Your Little Trick-or-Treaters

Unlike in the ‘old days’, not many kids still go trick-or-treating, but for those who do the Jackson, MS Metro Police Department, along with others have put out this alert for Halloween.

If your kids get these for Halloween candy, they ARE NOT CANDY!!! They are the new shapes of “Ecstasy” and can kill kids through overdoses!!!

So, check your kid’s candy and “When in doubt, Throw it out!!!” Be safe and always keep the shiny side up!!!

It is unlikely that drug dealers or users would be giving away expensive drugs, but there are some twisted people out there, so better to be safe than sorry.

Our standing rule was ‘don’t eat anything until we check it’. It’s a shame that society has taken such evil turns that now Tylenol needs safety lids and kids can’t accept home-made popcorn balls or other treats, but that’s where we are.

Accidents can happen in a split second, so it’s also a good idea to use reflective tape in several key spots on the kids’ costumes. Be safe out there.

Good information. I sincerely hope with current problems that children are protected and closely supervised.

Our standing rule IS.. ‘don’t eat anything until we check it’! It was the policy when I was a child and folks were putting razor blades and pins in candy and apples!

I go through everything the kids bring home and check it for ripped packages and other tampering….. They only get to eat what I have deemed to be safe.

One can never be too safe IMO, when it comes to your children. Heck…mine don’t even get to go out alone to do trick or treating. My hubby escorts them around. Too many sickos out and about…..

Hope everyone had a spooky and howling time last night!
