My husband-person and I have been in San Antonio and surrounding area for a few days and while here we toured the Ft. Sam Houston museums. One of them is dedicated to the history of the fort and the transitions it’s made since it was built. It played a big part in the war with Mexico, but Ft. Sam, as the locals call it, is primarily a medical training facility. As of 2011, it had grown to be the largest military medical training facility in the world.
With that as a background, it explains why the Ft. Sam Houston Medical Museum is the larger of the two and contains a plethora of historic items relating to military medicine. The following display was seen there. It’s a timeline that takes up an entire wall and gives details on medical events throughout our history, as well as other key events that occurred in medicine, science, etc. during the various presidencies since it’s inception.
I took a close-up of the display for the period during O’s presidency so you could read the fine print about all the accomplishments that have happened during his nearly two full terms.
Quite an impressive list, eh? Our very first ever black president – one who could have made a huge and positive impact on this country – has zero accomplishments. Zip. Nada.
Also notice all the pictures of previous presidents are reprints of charcoal drawings and O’s is just a black & white snapshot, but I’m sure that’s just a slip up and not a slight to such a great man. Right?
