You can’t hold a man down without staying down with him.

  1. Hardnox says:

True enough but it’s also tough to stand up when assholes have you surrounded and are pulling you down.

    • Grouchy says:

Yes, Hardnox, that’s the other side of the coin. But our Founding Fathers stood against a wealth of Nations, and built the foundations of the Greatest Nation on Earth, until recently.

  2. captbogus2 says:

    I like that.

    • Grouchy says:

I remember this quote from when I was in high school; it was on a calendar, as I recall. Funny, Capt, how some things stay with a person for life, and at the time don’t really mean all that much~!

  3. CW says:

    That’s a great quote, Grouchy.

Mr. Washington managed to pack more wisdom into one sentence than Obama has given us in six years as POTUS.

    • Grouchy says:

Greetings, CW,,, and how true you are~! And yet, he says he’s the “Smartest President Evah~!”
(SNORK~!) Even the Peanut Farmer has him beat 8 ways from Sunday~!~!
But neither one would ever comprehend what it means, sad to say.
