Quote Of The Day — March 1, 2015

.
Of all forms of slavery there is none that is so harmful and degrading as that form of slavery which tempts one human being to hate another by reason of his race or color. One man cannot hold another man down in the ditch without remaining down in the ditch with him.

Booker T. Washington, (April 5, 1856 – November 14, 1915) – An Address on Abraham Lincoln before the Republican Club of New York City (12 February 1909)

In my research, I have found a lot of Blacks that have overcome the indignities that were heaped upon them.
They, including B. T. Washington, deserve “Hero” status, for nothing more than upright dignity under insane societal pressure.

lBooker T. Washington. Hmmm. Wonder if he was a subject of study during Black History Month…

    • Grouchy says:

HE, along with George Washington Carver, should have been, if they weren’t~!
A True man of dignity, intelligence, integrity and wisdom.

  3. CW says:

“…tempts one human being to hate another by reason of his race or color.”

Booker T. called it “slavery, harmful and degrading.”

Today’s Left calls it a day at the office.

Good Points, CW,,, and M.L.K. Jr., tried to “right the ship”, once again. And for a while, he succeeded. THEN, we got Sharpton, Farrakhan, Jackson and King Putt.
And one can only remember, and weep for “what might have been”.

  4. Clyde says:

Can’t argue with that one, GF. Good find.
