Trifecta: Should Republicans Authorize Obama’s ‘Force’ Against ISIS?

In the latest Trifecta at PJ TV, Scott Ott, Steven Greene, and Bill Whittle discuss Obama’s request to Congress for the use of force against the ISIS sandnazis:

I agree with Greene.  King Putt wants an excuse to lose another war and then declare victory.

Congress should force Obama to fight ISIS with the authorization to wipe them out before the sandnazis export their brand of terror here.

What do you think.

So long as Obama’s INSANE Rules of Engagement are in place I would send not put one Soldier, Sailor or Marine in harm’s way.

When O ignored ISIS at their start-up, then issued restricted air attacks, he made it obvious he doesn’t want to fight ISIS. His AUMF is worded to be a limited action, so when he fails he can blame Congress, particularly the GOP.

Congress needs to change the wording to give him authority to use any & all means necessary, so he cannot avoid his responsibility.

Meanwhile, as they bicker about the wording and level of action, people are being burned alive and beheaded by the dozens.

All we’re missing is the fiddle.

Good post. I say NO MAS until the asshole is SERIOUS about defeating an enemy he SIDES with. In other words, s’ain’t happenin’ .

I seriously have my doubts. Or rather fears on Obam getting congressional nod. If he has that power to unleash might it actually be used here in the US in a widening bid for another Islamic controlled country?

  6. Garnet92 says:

Obama has no intention of defeating ISIS/ISIL, he has no intention of doing ANYTHING to displease his muslim brothers. The AUMF is (as was said before) just a political ploy to give him cover – someone/thing he can blame when things go sideways. It won’t be HIS fault, his hands were tied by the AUMF. He is bullshit from his burr to his toes and everything he says is a lie.

I think that Congress SHOULD give him a AUMF that INCLUDES the option to use boots on the ground. In other words, don’t give him any cover – so whatever he does will be his decision and his alone. He’ll have no one else to blame. That will make a decision difficult for him when he knows that the public wants action taken against those barbarians.

I think Greene put it best as well, Hardnox. What Obama is asking for is B.S. It’s not a war authorization it’s a political CYA authorization, and of course republicans shouldn’t go along with it.
