Quote Of The Day — February 15, 2015

.
Now this is the Law of the Jungle — as old and as true as the sky;
And the Wolf that shall keep it may prosper, but the Wolf that shall break it must die.
As the creeper that girdles the tree-trunk the Law runneth forward and back —
For the strength of the Pack is the Wolf, and the strength of the Wolf is the Pack.”

Rudyard Kipling,  (30 December 1865 – 18 January 1936)

    Great poet. I really think my favorite is “Tommy Atkins”. Kipling must have been thinking of us during the Viet Nam war when he wrote that.

    • Grouchy says:

      G’Morning, Capt. I am in FULL agreement with you. “Tommy” was written around 1900, as I recall, but fit the Viet Nam war era so perfectly~!
