Scott Walker Gets College Exposé That Media Failed to Give Obama

Glove for full body cavity search

The media took a dive into Wisconsin Republican Gov. Scott Walker’s college records this week in an attempt to solve the “lingering mystery” of why he chose to leave Marquette University.

The scrutiny into Walker‘s education comes as he “mulls” a White House bid in 2016. It also comes just eight years after the media let then-presidential candidate Barack Obama slide on answering any questions about his own mysterious years at Columbia University.

David Fahrenthold’s examination of Walker’s college years in the Washington Post spanned more than 2,000 words, and in the end, there is little mystery. Walker was an active member of the Marquette student body and has openly said that he decided to leave the university after being offered a full-time job during his senior year.

The Walker probe delves into scandals such as his regular tardiness to French class and his reluctance to get into arguments with the liberals in his politics classes.

The climax of the article comes with allegations that friends of Walker might have stolen copies of the school newspaper during his run for student body president. His roommate has since admitted that he took the newspapers and feels bad because he did it behind Walker’s back.

For Obama, an in-depth investigation into his mysterious college years never came, as the Wall Street Journal noted less than a month before he was elected president in 2008.

The Columbia years are a hole in the sprawling Obama hagiography. In his two published memoirs, the 47-year-old Democratic nominee barely mentions his experience there. He refuses to answer questions about Columbia and New York—which, in this media age, serves only to raise more of them. Why not release his Columbia transcript? Why has his senior essay gone missing?

Unlike Walker, who was well known at Marquette and had a group of friends, Obama was a ghost at Columbia. More than 400 classmates of Obama were contacted during the 2008 election, and not one said they remembered him.

The New York Sun described Columbia just before the 2008 election as a place Obama “rarely speaks about and where few people seem to remember him.” The record on Obama’s Columbia years was sealed.

In contrast with the rest of Mr. Obama’s life story, little is known about his college experience. He attended Occidental College in Los Angeles for two years before transferring to Columbia in 1981. The move receives only a mention in Mr. Obama’s 1995 memoir, “Dreams from My Father,” which instead devotes that chapter to his impressions of race and class struggles in New York. […]

Federal law limits the information that Columbia can release about Mr. Obama’s time there. A spokesman for the university, Brian Connolly, confirmed that Mr. Obama spent two years at Columbia College and graduated in 1983 with a major in political science. He did not receive honors, Mr. Connolly said, though specific information on his grades is sealed. A program from the 1983 graduation ceremony lists him as a graduate.

The media stood by as questions about Obama’s college years, a staple during the 2000 and 2004 elections, remained unanswered.

The now-iconic pictures of Obama smoking as a college student were also kept under wraps until months after he was elected president. The pictures were hidden in a safety deposit box by a friend of Obama who didn’t want him to be hurt politically.

It wasn’t until the 2012 David Maraniss biography of Obama that a more complete story was published.

Even after six years in the White House, Obama still has the benefit of a media that looks the other way to benefit him.

It took six months for Gawker to break the news that campus radicals Bill Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn were with the Obama family at the August wedding of MSNBC anchor Alex Wagner and former White House chef Sam Kass, even though there was certainly a large media presence there as well.

Back in the pre-election days of 2007-2008, most people were willing to give Barack Hussein Obama the benefit of doubt and didn’t clamor for more in depth information into “little” things like his Columbia college years. After all, he graduated from Harvard with honors. I will quickly state that I was not one of those naïve souls since I’d been researching Obama since he announced for president and didn’t like what I found. He simply was not qualified to be president – by any objective measure. He was elected because he was black – period.

Nevertheless, he was elected – twice – and now, with six years of watching him in action, I have no doubt that there are many skeletons in Obama’s closet. Things that neither he nor the complicit media want the American public to know. Why else are his Columbia years still a deep dark secret? Why has the media continued to be an accessory to suppressing what the public has the right to know?

There can only be one answer. Obama and his sycophants are not proud of what is hidden away.

So the left does what it does best, expose its hypocrisy for all the world to see. They’ll dig deeply into any Republican’s background (up to their gloved elbow) in order to find something – anything – that can be used against him/her, while continuing to barricade Obama’s closet door to keep us from knowing about the real Barack Obama.

Their accepted and often preferred POO is to discredit or unearth and unleash any possible smokey past on their opponents in order to cover their own shortcomings. Long, long ago I learned that the one doing accusing and dredging up problems is the one most often in error on those items. So, turn the tables, look for their own mistakes on the same items. As you just did Garnet. My thought would be Every member who squeals first be examined more closely for their faults And published publically for social media to see. These guys haven’t learned to play “chicken” yet very well.

    • Garnet92 says:

They’ve been trying Uriel – and the really interesting thing is that during Walker’s fight with the democrats and unions in Wisconsin, they dug up everything negative they could find (precious little).

They’re panicked now because they’ve exhausted all of their ammo in Wisconsin and now they’re out of ammo – just in time for national presidential elections! I love it!

    • upaces88 says:

What a bunch of damn perverts!!

  2. Kathy says:

Tardy for French class? Did O even take French? We don’t know, but we do know he can’t speak Austrian.

Don’t you just do that Snidely Whiplash grin when they dig & dig and can’t find anything worse than quitting college to go to work? Since they can’t find any dirt on Walker, look for them to start making it up any time now.

Good analogy, Garnet, that’s exactly what they’re doing.

    • Garnet92 says:

Eggxactly Kathy! They “shot their load” in Wisconsin and don’t have anything of substance left with which to attack him. They’re out of ammo!

And, based on the way he fought back against the union smears, I don’t think that he’ll sit still for fabricated dirt – he’ll hit back and (hopefully) hoist them on their own petard.

  3. Judy says:

I don’t know about anyone else, but I do not appreciate some Democrat implying that because I (or Scott Walker) do not have a college degree that I am less than them. I see Walker as a regular, Midwestern person with degrees in common sense and compassion and with a can do attitude – you know, just like the majority of Americans. This must have the Dem elites in a real tizzy; oh what to do with a Republican who is not only FOR the people, but IS the people. This should be good….

    • Uriel says:

Agreed Judy. I have met more elitest drop outs in common sense than I care to think about.

    • Garnet92 says:

Great comment Judy. I feel the same way. I didn’t finish college and so, to Howard Dean, I too am “unknowledgeable.” That dumb-assed little pea-brain is in no position to demean Scott Walker. Though early in the game, the odds favor Walker progressing further towards the White House than Dean did – and maybe, even though he is not a college graduate, becoming president. Wouldn’t THAT chap Dean’s butt!

  4. upaces88 says:

They seem to be getting very desperate if they have to scrutinize that!

    • Garnet92 says:

There’s the old wartime adage: “if you’re not catching flak, you’re not over the target.” That is appropriate here – Walker’s catching flak BECAUSE he is over the target. All we have to do is watch who the left is bashing and that tells us who they’re worried about.

  5. Garnet92 says:

Right upaces88, you and I both know that if they had anything more explosive THAT’S what they’d be yelling from the rooftops, not some piddley “didn’t finish college.” Is that the best they’ve got?

    • upaces88 says:

LOL…What they fail to report about Obama. He seldom attended classes. HIS education was “bought” by the Saudi(s) in order to build a good “P-R Move” for him.

There are those who didn’t really research it. They “Assumed”… He was NEVER a “Constitutional Scholar” as some reported.

Trying to think like him? “IF I had been him, I would have researched for the “weak points” in the Bill of Rights and Constitution” so I would know exactly what to “Target to Destroy.”
And, that is EXACTLY what he has done.

      • Garnet92 says:

All part of the plan upaces. He was awarded the “constitutional scholar” title by his handlers to imply to the public that he was an expert on the Constitution. He is as qualified to be a constitutional scholar as he is to be a Nobel Prize recipient. By all rights, he is also not qualified to be POTUS either. He is several levels above his Peter Principle slot.

I’ve got a post coming out tomorrow about Ted Cruz – I’d love to see Cruz debate the Constitution (ANY part of it) with Obama. Hey, I can dream, can’t I?

        • upaces88 says:

Please correct me if I am wrong….Wasn’t The Nobel Prize originally supposed to be given to that woman in Nazi Germany that saved so many children during WWII (she was still alive at this time)?

  6. Clyde says:

Well, we see just how much good ALL of Obozo’s “college” did for US. Good piece, Garnet.

  7. Judy says:

Well, at least Scott Walker is not trying to hide his college time by having it sealed from public scrutiny (like Team Obumo). I’d love to see what score Obozo would receive should he dare take the test immigrants must to achieve legal, I waited in line, citizenship. Wonder if they would ask him to name the 57th state?!

    • Garnet92 says:

Odingbat has counted on the American people’s attention span not lasting more than a day or so. He’s managed to keep his secrets stashed away for 6-7 years now because no one (except we conservatives) brings the subject up any more

But, mark my words, one day after he’s left office, it’ll all come out and his ego will pay the price of his lies – his legacy will suffer and he’ll be diminished in stature. Please God let it be.

  8. upaces88 says:

Wellllll, let’s turn this into a very weird positive. Walker is going to be so angry…he’ll work even harder to get rid of him.

  9. Garnet92 says:

To my knowledge, Scott Walker hasn’t released his college transcripts – we’ve just got comments from professors, right? I’ve seen Rick Perry’s transcripts but not Walkers. Walker should take this opportunity to seal his college documents from public view just like Obumbles and offer to release them when Odingbat releases his.
