There are many stories floating around the internet addressing O’s refusal to call terrorists terrorists. After seeing several of them I couldn’t resist picking his statement to pieces. My comments are in red at the end of each paragraph.
~ ~ ~
Criticized for avoiding the phrase “Islamic extremism,” President Obama said he doesn’t want to alienate the majority of peace-loving Muslims as the U.S. fights to defeat terrorist networks around the world. ~Although he doesn’t have a problem with alienating the peace-loving Americans.
“I think that for us to be successful in fighting this scourge, it’s very important for us to align ourselves with the 99.9 percent of Muslims who are looking for the same thing we’re looking for — order, peace, prosperity,” Mr. Obama said on CNN. “And so I don’t quibble with labels.” ~As usual, O is wrong on his numbers. There are approximately 2.08 billion muslims in the world and experts say radicals are estimated to be between 15 to 25 percent, according to all intelligence services around the world. You’re looking at 180 million to 300 million people dedicated to the destruction of Western civilization according to Brigitte Gabriel.
The president also said he doesn’t want to “over-inflate” the importance of terrorist groups by sending U.S. troops to occupy countries in the Middle East or by “playing whack-a-mole” against terrorist leaders because it drains America’s financial strength. ~His desire not to over-inflate their importance and lack of action, allowed them to grow from J-V size with few resources to gargantuan with mega resources, including much of our equipment left behind. He is indeed playing whack-a-mole with his use of air strikes alone.
After the terrorist attacks in Paris last month that killed at least 17 people, Mr. Obama was widely criticized for referring to “violent extremism” instead of violence motivated by Islamist beliefs. Republicans and even some Democratic critics say the president and his advisers are ignoring the root causes of jihadi attacks. ~Those critics shouldn’t be surprised – it’s the one thing he’s been consistent on.
The White House also insisted last week that negotiations with the Taliban in Afghanistan in a prisoner exchange did not violate U.S. policy because the administration does not classify the group as a terrorist organization. ~See how that works? By refusing to label them, he’s free to negotiate with terrorists, something we said we’d never do.
White House press secretary Josh Earnest said the Taliban threat is mainly confined to U.S. interests in Afghanistan, while groups such as al Qaeda carry a broader threat. But he did say of the Taliban, “they do carry out tactics that are akin to terrorism. They do pursue terror attacks in an effort to try to advance their agenda.” ~If it looks like a duck…
The Afghan Taliban is not on the State Department’s list of Foreign Terrorist Organizations, but the Treasury Department does identify the group on its list of specially designated terrorists. ~Why is that? Again because of their refusal to use labels.
In the interview with CNN’s Fareed Zakaria, recorded last week, the president said he’s trying not to give terrorists more credit than they deserve. (See the second paragraph)
“I think we all recognize that this is a particular problem that has roots in Muslim communities, and that the Middle East and South Asia are sort of ground zero for us needing to win back hearts and minds, particularly when it comes to young people,” Mr. Obama said. “But I think we do ourselves a disservice in this fight if we are not taking into account the fact that the overwhelming majority of Muslims reject this ideology. I reject a notion that somehow that creates a religious war, because the overwhelming majority of Muslims reject that interpretation of Islam.” ~If they’re so peaceful, why do we need to win back their hearts and minds? Why are they not consumed with denouncing acts of terrorism? It’s because their Quran teaches them otherwise – more on that later.
Mr. Obama said he is not downplaying the threat of terrorism against the U.S., but said he wants to keep the war against extremists in the “proper perspective.” ~He’s a liar and he is downplaying it, which will only cost more lives before it’s over, if ever.
“Look, I have to talk to the families of those who are killed by terrorists,” Mr. Obama said. “I have to talk to the families of soldiers of ours who fought to make sure that al Qaeda … couldn’t carry out attacks against us again. I’m pretty mindful of the terrible costs of terrorism around the world. What I do insist on is that we maintain a proper perspective and that we do not provide a victory to these terrorist networks by overinflating their importance and suggesting in some fashion that they are an existential threat to the United States or the world order.” ~Again with the lies – he doesn’t talk to much of anyone that he doesn’t want to and two instances come to mind – Congress and Netanyahu. Although he makes time to yuck it up with sports figures and women who wear green lipstick. And mindful of the cost??? Give me a break – he’s not mindful of the cost of anything, whether it be lives or money.
Mr. Obama also said he wants to ensure that the U.S. military response to terrorists does not alter “the essence of who we are.” ~That’s just feel-good pabulum and it’s especially rich, since he has done everything possible to undermine the essence of who we are. We were once the most powerful and feared country on earth having the strongest military and bowing to no one, but he’s degraded that at every turn.
“That means that we don’t torture, for example, and thereby undermine our values and credibility around the world,” Mr. Obama said. “It means that we don’t approach this with a strategy of sending out occupying armies and playing whack-a-mole wherever a terrorist group appears, because that drains our economic strength and it puts enormous burdens on our military. What’s required is a surgical, precise response to a very specific problem.” ~ISIS, numbering in the thousands, is running amok in Iraq & Syria, seizing entire towns, raping and slashing off heads, and he wants to do surgery. A purely predictable response from the Sympathizer-in-Chief, along with his statement that we don’t torture, intended to appease his muslim buddies.
He added, “We can’t give them the victory of overinflating what they do … and we can’t make the mistake of being reactive to them. We have to have a very precise strategy in terms of how to defeat them.” ~It’s not overinflating anything to call them terrorists, and it’s by no means a victory. It would be stating fact, something foreign to this man. He’s had 6 years to come up with a strategy and hasn’t yet, so don’t expect a plan in the next two years, since he’s done nothing but pull troops out and send in advisors, and release terrorists back to the Middle East.
O rejects the notion that it’s a religious war and claims that muslims reject this ideology of the radical terrorists, but when you look at passages from their Quran, the most UN-holy book ever written, it’s obvious to all that it is indeed driven by religion. Why else would they shout ‘Allah Akbar’ with their every move. They are commanded to kill, so those ‘peaceful’ muslims are lying just as much as he is.
The Quran consists of 114 units of varying lengths, known as suras ; the first sura is said as part of the ritual prayer. These touch upon all aspects of human existence, including matters of doctrine.
Some passages from that ungodly book:
Slay the unbelievers wherever you find them (2:191)
Make war on the infidels living in your neighborhood (9:123)
When opportunity arises, kill the infidels wherever you catch them (9:5)
Kill the Jews and the Christians if they do not convert to Islam or refuse to pay Jizya tax (9:29)
Any religion other than Islam is not acceptable (3:85)
The Jews and the Christians are “Perverts”; fight them (9:30)
Maim and crucify the infidels if they criticise Islam. (5:33)
Punish the unbelievers with garments of fire, hooked iron rods, boiling water; melt their skin and bellies (22:19)
Do not hanker for peace with the infidels; behead them when you catch them (47:4)
The unbelievers are stupid; urge the Muslims to fight them (8:65)
Muslims must not take the infidels as friends (3:28)
Terrorize and behead those who believe in scriptures other than the Qur’an (8:12)
Muslims must muster all weapons to terrorize the infidels (8:60)
How anyone could claim this is a religion of peace defies logic and reason.
