Quote Of The Day — January 27, 2015

.
Any man who’s afraid of hiring the best ability he can find, is a cheat who’s in a business where he doesn’t belong.”

Ayn Rand,  (February 2, 1905 – March 6, 1982),  Atlas Shrugged, Part 3, Ch. 1

  1. CW says:

Ayn Rand always provides a thought-provoking perspective on things. The truth of what she says is demonstrated by the mess that we call the U.S. government, where there’s actually a rule against hiring people with the best abilities.

    • Grouchy says:

G’Morning, CW, and a very perceptive comment, indeed~! Isn’t it bewildering how insane a society, a government, can be???
We accomplish in spite of, and not because of, the mechanations of our leadership.

  2. Garnet92 says:

It’s apparent that Odingleberry won’t hire anyone that he thinks is smarter than he is, doesn’t that just give you warm and fuzzy feelings to know that he is the best and brightest in our national government?

    • Grouchy says:

Garnet, the Obomination CANNOT hire anyone smarter than he is. It has been well documented over and over, that he’s “The Smartest President EVAH~!”,,,

Oh, man. And we have two more years of this prime example of a Mortimer Snerd???

  3. Clyde says:

Good quote. When I hired people, IF they were not already as good as the rest of us, WE made them that way.

    • Grouchy says:

I really respect that kind of “O J T”, Clyde. It works all the way around. You learn the depth of commitment from the apprentice, and s/he learns the demands of the position. ALL come out the winners.

The only question should be, “Can you do the job? OR, can you learn to do it? Prove it~!”
