DALLAS – A North Texas robbery suspect died after being shot by the man he was trying to rob.
Police said 19-year-old Victor Logan pulled a gun on Larico Jackson just after midnight in the Red Bird area of Dallas.
The two got into a scuffle and Jackson shot Logan in self-defense, police said. Logan drove away from the scene, but crashed his car into a DART bus stop on Chesterfield Drive. He died at the hospital.
Officers recovered a weapon and took statements from Jackson.
A grand jury will determine if he should face any charges for the deadly shooting.
Police said Logan matches the description of a suspect in several other robberies in the same area. Investigators will work to determine if he was responsible.
Hopefully the grand jury won’t have a problem with this case, since a cop wasn’t involved and skin color doesn’t seem to be an issue.
It’s a shame it had to end in a DRT but that’s the chance people take when they decide they’re entitled to other people’s stuff.
