Italy Sees More “Non-Muslim” Devastation

From Raymond Ibrahim:

On Friday, January 9, a man was kneeling in prayer before the statue of the revered Madonna, with the photograph of a loved one in hand, in the small chapel of St. Barnabas in Perugia (Italy), when he was attacked by five “immigrants.” The first thing they did was rip the photo from his hands. Next they unleashed their hatred against the image of the Virgin Mary. They broke the statue to pieces and then urinated on it.

Don Scarda, pastor of St. Barnabas, said the event was led by five “foreigners.”  By the time police arrived at the chapel, the unidentified attackers had already fled.

The incident has caused a stir among locals. Some have lambasted Pope Francis who is accused of appeasing immigrants—mostly Muslims—to wild extremes.   Earlier he had said that “Migrants, through their own humanity, cultural values, expand the sense of human brotherhood.”

Although the Diocese condemned the act of sacrilege against the Madonna statue, it also followed the Pope’s lead by absolving Islam of any responsibility for what happened.  In the words of Monsignor Paolo Giulietti, the auxiliary bishop of Città della Pieve, near Perugia:

For Islam, the figure of Mary is very important: she is the mother of the Prophet Jesus conceived in virginity, and the Blessed Virgin is the most holy woman.  Muslims pray at the Marian shrines in the Middle East. We cannot see in this act of vandalism—which as I said is wrong in every way—an episode of religious hatred. It is important not to feed mutual suspicion, especially at this time.

Meanwhile, Pope Francis has called on Catholics and Western people in general to refrain from insulting other religions—namely Islam: “It’s normal, it’s normal [violence]. One cannot provoke, one cannot insult other people’s faith, one cannot make fun of faith.”

He made these statements on January 16, apparently in reference to the Charlie Hebdo massacre, when armed Muslims killed a dozen non-Muslims working for a satirical magazine that had mocked Islamic prophet Muhammad.

One wonders if the Pope would be as “understanding” towards members of his own flock if they were to murder those who urinated on the Virgin statue?

Thanks to funding from neighbors, the desecrated image could be restored and replaced in its original location. Hundreds of Catholics participated that day in a rosary of relief.

Begging the Pope’s pardon, but there’s nothing normal about that type of destruction. It’s hypocritical for him to say that one cannot insult other’s faith while tolerating this type of behavior. It’s been proven since about 624 A.D. that they continue to drive out other religions and destroy all artifacts and symbols if the people don’t stand their ground and fight them off.

They murdered people, in the name of Allah, for simply publishing a cartoon of Mohammed, but we’re supposed to turn the other cheek when they destroy a Madonna along with a man’s personal property. Again the Pope is wrong – it IS Islam.

When do Christians rise up and demand the respect we deserve? The people of Italy have been begging for their government to take a stand against the invasion of muslims and nobody is listening, least of all this Pope.

Well, you sure nailed it, Kathy. I guess I’m not getting their reasoning. If you show them you are a pushover, don’t be surprised when they get that message. They’ve already said they are out for the Pope. As a non-RC maybe I’m missing something.

If this is considered expanding the sense of human brotherhood, I’ll eat my tin foil hat. Not the sense of brotherhood most of us want.

    • Kathy says:

Evidently the pope is one of those people who wrongly think that if we turn the other cheek we will be able to coexist with them. That big hat of his must be screwed on too tight.

Pope Francis in Manila: Six million attend outdoor Mass
You will see a substantial amount of people that are Muslims who Converted to Christianity.

    I just can’t get it.
The level of appeasement and acceptance for these murdering, barbaric, savages, just boggles my brain.
It’s like the adoration of o’bozo by the sheeple…X10.

    • Kathy says:

I don’t get it either, Terry. How much more evidence do these people need to make them realize we have to fight back? And fight now.

Look how quickly Daesh/ISIS expanded when left alone. Had we attacked early while they were small, they wouldn’t be murdering so many people in Iraq and Syria right now.

  3. I.R. Wayright says:

I think when ever they catch people who do things like this, they should bury them up to their necks and sell rocks nearby for $.25 a pop. Use the proceeds to restore anything destroyed. If those buried complain, ask them, “Whatsamatta, don’t you want your 72 virgins?”

    • Kathy says:

I’d rather line them up firing squad style and watch their facial expressions as the women are allowed to be the executioners.

To me, this is the culmination of several visits of the muslim-in-chief. After one visit to the Vatican, the standing Pope retired his position. Unheard of for over 600 years. After another visit to Brazil (to interview the hopeful), that visit produced the current Pope. The only thing “to get” here is that the real World Powers (the ultra rich who actually make the decisions) have their magic fingers into everything. These are the people who stay out of the news for the most part and are the ones who sit in closed rooms to come up with ideas of how many people to exterminate to take care of this overpopulated planet. It’s pretty scary.

    • Kathy says:

It is scary and it’s becoming apparent why he was chosen. He’s got an opinion on everything and is issuing directives now. He just called on all muslim political, religious and intellectual leaders to vocally insist that Islam doesn’t condone such violence.

Not being a Catholic, I never have paid much attention to the pope, but we need to keep our eye on this one.

  5. vonmesser says:

At this time I have pretty much lost all respect for Francis. I want my Benedict back.

  6. vonmesser says:

The Pope needs to realize that Argentinian socialism will not work.

  7. Garnet92 says:

It is amazing to me that most of the world’s “leaders” seem to be intent on being friends with the muzzies. No one appears to be offering anything but lip service and issuing stern condemnations against the barbaric activities and all the while, the barbaric activities are increasing. Peaceful coexistence isn’t in their play book, it’s their way or die. A lot of innocents are going to die before they’re put down by another Crusades-style action.

    • Kathy says:

The lefty world leaders haven’t stopped to think they could be next. They’re still of the mind they’re exempt from harm – that’s why they want us to refrain from antagonizing them.
