  1. That quote sure is apropos in today’s world. Who on earth tells the truth these days among politicians?

    • Grouchy says:

      G’morning, Pepper
Politicians are too busy portraying obsequiousness to tell the truth, all the while being devious in their back-room dealings. Boehner is a perfect example, along with that slimey skunk from Nevada, Reid.

On a social level…you can say the toughest things to people..IF you want them to reallly hear what you say and what you mean….you can offer stories so they may(?) have the opportunity get the point. Then you can graduate to…the “What if scenario”.

If that is ignored? It is time to be totally open, honest and blunt. Paint them a vivid picture. Some people don’t understand this. “IF you lose your temper, raise your voice in order to get your point across…you’ve already lost.

Politician tell you what you want to hear…then do what every they want to do.
    ——–
“When they call the roll in the Senate, the Senators do not know whether to answer ‘Present’ or ‘Not Guilty’.”
    ― Theodore Roosevelt

    Good Morning, Grouchy. Great stuff!!!
Sometimes truth hurts, even done on a gentle level.

    • Grouchy says:

      G’Morning, Shy – Good to see you~!
Yes, the truth can hurt, no matter what. BUT if it leads to healing, in any way, it’s better the pain now, than an extended period of grief. It’s not the truth that hurts so much, as what we do with it, m’thinks.

Boy, that nails the political correctness folks down. To a tee….
