“It is curious that physical courage should be so common in the world and moral courage so rare.”

Can’t argue with that one, GF. Good find.
Thanks, Clyde. I was astounded at the depth of his perception~!
Sometimes they’re tied together. Great quote, Grouchy.
The key word there is “Sometimes”. One can have physical courage, and lack the backbone to stand for what is right, moral and ethical.
Case in point: The U.S. Congress, as a whole, and gangsters in the ‘hood. But I repeat myself.
The exceptions are Bachmann, Palin, Cruz, West, and a few others, who DO have both kinds courage.
And we need another Reagan in the White House, and another Churchill or Thatcher in the leadership of Great Britain.
Who is going to step forward, to fill those shoes?
I dunno, Grouchy. The more courageous someone is, the bigger the target they have on their back. I’d like to see someone like Steve Forbes or Jim DeMint throw their hat into the ring, but that’s just a fantasy I have.
True about the target, CW,,, It’s the old “Destroy the King of the Mountain” syndrome. ANYONE with a brain in their head and the ability to speak their mind is fair game for slander. That’s the way a lot of the world is. They don’t think, and they despise those who do.
Great quote Grouchy.
We’ve had some great leaders, Hardnox, who are well worth listening to~!
And then, there’s those that deserved a post-partum “miscarriage”.
