HE’S BAAAACCCCKKKK !!!

Yes, folks, he’s back. We haven’t heard much from this fool in quite a while, but he has resurfaced at the COP20 conference in Lima, Peru, to “rally the troops”.

The ONE, the ONLY, FRAUDACLE himself, Al Gore. He’s here to “save the day” for the Klimate Klowns. Or so he thinks. Story from Myron Ebell, Director of Global Warming and International Environmental Policy for the Competitive Enterprise Institute, via The Daily Caller.com

Report From Lima Climate Conference: Al Gore Preaches Hellfire And Redemption

By Myron Ebell
Director of Global Warming and International Environmental Policy, CEI

First, here is a brief bio on Mr. Ebell, for some background on his “chops” as it pertains to the climate change fraud, and his efforts to get the TRUTH out.

~

Myron Ebell, from the Competitive Enterprise Institute. One of the Klimate Klowns WORST nightmares.

  • “Myron Ebell is director of energy and global warming policy at CEI. He also serves as director of Freedom Action, a web-based grassroots activist organization loosely affiliated with CEI, and chairs the Cooler Heads Coalition, which comprises over two dozen non-profit groups in this country and abroad that question global warming alarmism and oppose energy rationing policies.

In March 2010, the Financial Times called Ebell “one of America’s most prominent climate-change skeptics.” In July 2009, the Business Insider’s Green Sheet named him third in its list of the Ten Most-Respected Global Warming Skeptics, after Professor Freeman Dyson and Dr. Bjorn Lomborg, and commented, “Myron Ebell may be enemy #1 to the current climate change community.”

Among numerous other recognitions, Vanity Fair magazine published a long, highly critical profile of Ebell in their May 2007 “second annual Green Issue.” Greenpeace featured Ebell and three of his CEI colleagues in “A Field Guide to Climate Criminals” distributed at the UN climate meeting in Montreal in December 2005. Rolling Stone magazine in its November 17, 2005 issue named Ebell one of six “Misleaders” on global warming in a special feature, along with President George W. Bush, Senator James Inhofe, and the late Michael Crichton. As a result of a BBC Radio interview in November 2004, seven members of the British House of Commons from all three major parties introduced a motion to censure Ebell “in the strongest possible terms.” In its May 22, 2004 special Issues and Answers issue, National Journal profiled Ebell as one of ten people who would lead the global warming debate during the next presidential administration. The Clean Air Trust in March 2001 named Ebell its “Villain of the Month” for his role in convincing the Bush Administration not to regulate carbon dioxide emissions”.  As far as I’m concerned, he definitely HAS the credentials.

And never will. Flies around the globe in some of the most polluting jets there are. Rides around in SUV’s. No word on if he has an air-conditioned doghouse, though.

Former star of stage and screen Al Gore arrived at COP-20 early Wednesday morning to give one of the opening speeches at an all-day conference put on by the Chinese delegation on Making the Future of Cities Green. I got there a few minutes too late hear him, so made sure I was early to hear his big talk at 1:15.

It was scheduled for one of the COP’s two big plenary meeting rooms. I arrived at 12:50. The UN security officer guarding the door told me that the official session was over and the Cusco Room was now closed. I said, What about Al Gore’s speech at 1:15? He said that there was nothing until 3 PM, but when I pressed him, he went and got his list of the day’s events in the Cusco and Lima Rooms (which are actually very large tents–the whole COP is being held in very nice temporary structures erected on the grounds of Peru’s Pentagonito). Sure enough, there were the Climate Reality Project and Al Gore listed at 1:15.

The former U. S. Vice President arrived early, but did not start speaking until 1:30. That may be because there weren’t many people in the very large room.  By the time he began to speak, perhaps half the seats were occupied. More people came as he continued talking. At the end, he got a polite round of applause. Such are the indignities of being a former movie star.

Gore’s talk was an update of the slide-show immortalized in the sci-fi classic, “An Inconvenient Truth.” But not an update that replaces its numerous false and misleading claims. For instance, Gore’s show still contains a slide of the discredited hockey stick.

In the years since that 2006 Academy Award-winning documentary (which was a documentary in the sense that it filmed him giving his slide show), Gore has if anything become more preoccupied with floods, droughts, and rising sea levels. Slide after slide of floods around the world were followed by slide after slide of droughts and high tides. He even claimed that those who criticized the animated sequence in his film that showed New York underwater were proven wrong by the high tides caused by Superstorm Sandy that flooded lower Manhattan.

Gore’s main point was that rising temperatures are disrupting the hydrological cycle. The atmosphere contains 4 percent more water vapor than 30 years ago. That means more torrential downpours. But higher temperatures also mean lots more evaporation from the soil, and that means more droughts.

Even worse, we have created a spasm of mass extinction. The threats to humanity are dire, and the fate of the Earth is still in the balance. But like the skilled revival preacher he resembles, Gore then turned to the very good news: “We know we have to change!” And better yet: “We have the solutions at hand!”

Installations of new wind and solar capacity are booming around the world. In one of only a very few humorous touches, Gore showed a graph charting the rapid increase of renewable energy that looked just like the infamous hockey stick. The reason wind and solar are booming is because the costs have finally come down to levels at or below the costs of conventional power. Gore claimed that solar costs have reached grid parity in 79 countries and that within six years 80 percent of the people in the world will live in countries where the cost of electricity from solar panels is at or below the average cost of power

Finally, Gore talked about the political momentum that has been created by the deal signed by U. S. President Barack Obama and Chinese President Xi Jinping in Beijing in November. He said that the deal was “one of the greatest sources of optimism I’ve seen in the past forty years.” Sad to say, this ridiculous claim is strong evidence the former Vice President’s fantasy life is still vivid.

Yep. What a DEAL. That Obama is a regular frigging Monty Hall, eh ? H. Jesus Christ.

Gore will still be at the COP tomorrow, and I hope to attend a smaller briefing that he is giving for NGOs. U. S. Secretary of State John Kerry is also scheduled to fly in to make the official U. S. ministerial presentation tomorrow. Christiana Figueres, the head of the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change secretariat, also promised that there would be a surprise speaker. So what has till now been a rather dull, low energy COP may still offer some mild excitement before it concludes on Saturday.

I thought this turd bag had been WAY too quiet lately. Any bets on whether or not Mr. Ebell will get the chance to actually SPEAK to the Fraudacle ? My money says the glaciers will be knocking on HELL’S door before THAT would happen.

Reading the piece with the Fraudacle’s screed in it shows me Gore has made absolutely NO change to his thinking on the issue. Of course, it is not like I expect he would. After all, it IS tough to maintain SEVERAL homes with a total square footage that rivals a factory, and the associated travel thereto, on a former VP’s retirement and Senate retirement benefits. Nope, just GOT to get those phony asses carbon credit monies. Report after report, study after study shows the Fraudacle, and those of his ilk, are simply more full of shit than the proverbial Christmas Goose. Doesn’t seem to slow them down much, they continue with the charade.

I will keep an eye on this, to see if the cowardly Fraudacle did indeed give Mr. Ebell some face time. Gore more than likely has a restraining order out on Ebell. Like with anyone else who might DARE to tell the corpulent creep the TRUTH.

We cannot expect anything less from a man whose ENTIRE LIFE has been lived in a lie.

The man makes me want to hurl almost as bad as O does, so I’m glad this was text and not a video. I’d say face time for Mr. Ebell is unlikely, not for such a naysayer.

‘A polite round of applause..’ much more than he deserved.

    • Clyde says:

There WAS a video, but most of the time, I have a lot of trouble getting them added in. The “polite round of applause” should have been flaming bags of bullshit.

I was so pleased to see the room half empty for Algore. Maybe if he lost some weight…
    Oh well.

    And that Christiana Figueres…
Perehaps her surprise speaker was the Mayan moon goddess she prayed to to open the great proceedings several years ago. http://nation.foxnews.com/culture/2010/12/03/un-climate-summit-leader-prays-mayan-moon-goddess

    What a bunch of dopes.

  4. Hardnox says:

The Chinese hosted the conference??? That’s rich! Much like the wolves guarding the sheep.

Ebell needs to get in line behind Lord Monckton who Gore will also not speak to. Owl Bore won’t talk with anyone who will challenge him. Ask Tipper.

    • Clyde says:

The worst of the planet’s polluters did indeed host the “event”. Any thing in there about how Gore lambasted the Chinese over THEIR pollution? It’s OK, I didn’t see it either, Boss. Thanks.
