Another new Gruber video – he boasts of helping to write Obamacare

New Video: Gruber Boasts of Helping to Write ObamaCare

You’ve seen all of the other Gruber videos, where he confesses that the PPACA (ObamaCare) couldn’t have passed if citizens had known the truth and where he talks about how the democrats scammed the public (who were too stupid to realize it). In those videos, he takes credit for helping to develop the inner mechanisms of ObamaCare and is quick to volunteer that he was hired as a consultant to help write the legislation and was also using his modeling software to fine tune the structure of the plan.

Enter the public exposure of those damning videos and his subsequent testimony before Congress …..

All of a sudden, Gruber has morphed into a combination of Goofy and Sargent Schultz (he knows nothing). His vaunted intelligence has dissipated into the ether. All he really did was help to collate the pages so they could fit them into a binder.

He’s going to play hell getting his next $400,000 consulting contract now that the whole world has seen him admit to Congress that his only expertise was in billing the government hundreds of thousands of dollars for doing nothing.

It’s a good thing lying in sworn testimony before Congress isn’t a crime for liberals, or slippery con artist Jonathan Gruber would be a world of hurt.  Under oath, Gruber became a brain-damaged basket case who can’t remember anything he ever said or did related to the failed health-care scheme, a man who suffered such profound memory loss and cognitive impairment that not only should he be kept out of classrooms, he probably shouldn’t be allowed to operate an automobile.  What happens if he forgets what the traffic signs mean while he’s speeding across Washington to collect his next bag of taxpayer cash?  (And if he’s the clueless, boastful dolt he pretended to be in Congressional hearings, can we recover all the money he was paid by government agencies for his non-existent expertise?)

But away from those Congressional hearing rooms, Gruber portrays himself as the omnicompetent savant who served as one of the primary designers of the Affordable Care Act, the slick political technician who taught Barack Obama how to lie, lie, lie, and lie some more, in order to conceal his true agenda and sucker the American people into accepting a scheme that wouldn’t have submitted to in a million years, if presented honestly.  Here’s the new video in which Gruber brags of having helped to write the Affordable Care Act:

Fraud, deception, misrepresentation… these are the tools of ObamaCare, from the instant of its misbegotten conception, to the latest Democrat effort to defy the will of the American people and keep it alive.  Everything about the Affordable Care Act is an absolute lie, including the phony numbers pumped out by the Department of Health and Human Services to win a little positive news coverage about enrollment.  (Whaddaya know – they double-counted all kinds of junk to inflate the enrollment figures to 8 million.  Who could have seen that coming?  Oh, right: anyone who paid the slightest attention to how this con job has been perpetrated since Day One.)

They’ve also lied remorselessly about the people hurt by ObamaCare, denying their existence or impugning their motives for stepping forward to tell their stories.  The biggest swindle in Washington involves pretending nobody is hurt by a Big Government program, and nobody really has to pay the bills.  Even self-described ObamaCare supporters who endorse some of its results are beginning to complain openly about its failures, frustrations, and broken promises.  The consequences they complain most vociferously about tend to be exactly the same things Obama, Gruber, and the rest of the crew promised would never happen.

The Democrats are going to have to crank their malarkey machine up to turbo speed next year, when the IRS has to deal with reclaiming the huge volume of subsidy payments incorrectly doled out by the bugtastic website, confusing subsidy calculations, and uncertain eligibility data.  Or maybe the Democrats will insist that overpaid subsidies should be kept by the lucky ACA lottery winners, and only a mean old tightwad Republican would insist on squeezing blood from a stone to make the Treasury whole.  Maybe we’ll dig up another Gruber video where he crows that overpaid subsidies were a secret part of the plan all along.

The Supreme Court can’t put an end to this fast enough.  Let’s be done with the illegal subsidies for federal exchange customers, shut down the system that suddenly becomes unsustainable without them, and set about disproving the biggest ObamaCare lie of all: that America can’t do better than this.

Isn’t it amazing that our opponents on the left, who purport to be so intelligent and tech savvy, can’t seem to grasp the concept that once you’re captured by someone’s cellphone camera, you’re on the record – and your lies will come back to haunt you. Even so, the solution (telling the truth) is not an option for them, it’s like bright sunlight to a vampire, it’ll be the death of their agenda.

Gruber ought to be SHOT. Good post, Garnet, albeit pegging the pisstivity meter.

    • Garnet92 says:

Wouldn’t do any good Clyde, Gruber has no substance, he’s just a collection of hot gasses and so the round would go right through. Maybe light a match though – POOF!

  2. CW says:

    Great post, Garnet.

I think the most disturbing trend by the Left since Obama took office isn’t the lawlessness or fraud – they’ve always done those things. It’s the lack of fear about being caught blatantly lying. Obama does it every day without batting an eyelash, and that’s become the new standard. There’s no fear because they know they won’t be held accountable. To the extent that Gruber is paying a price for the things he’s said it’s not for lying. Democrats are angry with Gruber for telling the truth. He wasn’t supposed to do that.

    • Garnet92 says:

Right CW, they’re guilty of lying with impunity and that’s what pisses me off the most. They know that the alphabet media will cover for them. Each lie they get away with encourages (reinforces) them to lie all the more.

And they talk about “fairness,” since when are lies fair? There isn’t any fairness when lies are held out to be true and the truth is buried. The left is bereft of honesty, fairness, and character.

Good post. Best on yet! “Oops”, or as Steve Urkel says: “Did I do that??”

What it tries to do is lie, the intent all along. Good thing for him there is tenure. In technical nomenclature, he was ‘paid hundreds of thousands of dollars’ to help them lie… or to commit fraud as some of us call it.

    • Garnet92 says:

Thanks Bull. It’s apparent from watching Gruber’s videos that he took great delight in pointing out that they (he and his employers, the dems) simply said whatever was necessary to pass the legislation – no consideration ever given to truth or accuracy since the whole point was to fool the public into believing.

      • Bullright says:

Great points, Garnet. What’s that saying you can fool some of the people some of the time. Why keep up the lie after they get their way? What good is winning by any means necessary if you can’t rub your opponents noses in it afterward? Now we have Schumer, Gruber, Tom Harkin, all come out and admit what the sane among us knew all along. Since the gig is up — after they got their way — I thought half their fun was bragging about their shenanigans?

  4. Kathy says:

Ditto what CW said – he’s in trouble for telling the truth for a change instead of lying. The lying comes now as he tries to cover up. Gruber is a numbers guy who quit his job at MIT because O wanted him on the team. He’d already helped to create Romneycare and was all set to do it again, only for more money this time.

    • Bullright says:

      Kathy, he was franchising…LMAO.

    • Garnet92 says:

So what is he to do? He can’t publically consult on any new democrat schemes. He’ll probably license his modeling software to another crook and do his consulting under another entity’s cover. The dems won’t cut him loose though, his ability to help them construct complicated concepts with imbedded gotchas is too valuable to those with no ability to think outside the box. We won’t hear much about him anymore, his name is too caustic now, but he’ll still be a contributor in the dem’s scheme machine.

  5. Hardnox says:

Smug bastard. He never thought he’d get tagged for this.

    Good post.

    • Garnet92 says:

That’s one of the most disturbing things to me. Bad enough THEY lied, bad enough OBAMA lied and even bad enough that Gruber ADMITTED that they lied, but the thing that pisses me off the most is that they never had a plan “B” in case they got caught, they just assumed that: 1) they’d never get caught or, 2) the media would cover for them and bury the story or, 3) the public simply wouldn’t care.
