House Dems Not Attending Their Own Party’s Party

By Allen West:

Are the Democrats beginning to sense a turning tide? Could be. Many of them won’t even show up to their own party’s party.

According to Ed O’Keefe in the Washington Post, “Maybe it’s the snowy weather or the location here on Maryland’s Eastern Shore, but dozens of House Democrats are planning to skip three days of annual meetings designed to plot strategy ahead of this year’s midterm elections.”

O’Keefe says it’s a lower-than-normal turnout, and contrasts attendance at the House Republican retreat two weeks ago – a record turnout for an election year.

Two endangered Democrats from Florida, Reps. Patrick Murphy and Joe Garcia,  appeared Wednesday alongside Biden at an event in Miami. They’re not expected to fly north for the meetings.

You might recall there were reports Murphy requested a private meeting last year with House Speaker Boehner to discuss switching parties. Garcia is running anti-Obamacare ads saying he’s going to “fix” the law (finally, someone is admitting it’s broken). But then again, why would you fly out of sunny South Florida back to the frigid north?

I remember attending the House GOP strategy meeting while a Member. Now if I were Majority Leader, the event would have been held down at Ft. A.P. Hill in Virginia, not in a swanky hotel, and would be oriented to team building. But that’s just me.

Seems like a bit of a lackluster attitude in the House Democrat Caucus. Not surprising, they’re in the untenable position of having to defend the indefensible with Obamacare, “liberating Americans from work and being trapped in a job so they can stay at home, get a government check, and pursue their dreams.”

Boy howdy, that is spin beyond spin and I’m quite sure some are finding it hard to stomach. Of course you won’t hear the liberal media discuss the schism in the Democrat party and the lack of enthusiasm. It must be nice to have such cover from complicit media accomplices. Just can’t wait to hear what tricks and empty rhetorical propaganda will emanate from the Democrats gathering  together — certainly not any policy initiatives to restore our economy.

Aides said 125 of the 201 House Dems registered and that attendance is ‘close’ to that figure, although that’s a lower-than-normal turnout. The no-shows will miss O, who is  obama blah blahplanning to visit the Hyatt resort for his third meeting with House Dems in three weeks. O probably doesn’t realize they’re running away from him.

I can see where the weather and O’s appearance would keep them away, but I’m not sure I’d go to Florida either if Biden was part of the package. Not when I have all those socks to rearrange at home.

If Garcia could fix o’care why hasn’t he already done so? Perhaps because that wouldn’t leave him with a lie of a platform to campaign on.

Yes, Col. West, that’s a lot of spin, even for a Democrat. They wouldn’t understand your teamwork strategy because they aren’t a team.

    More GOOD news today!

This is good. More proof that no matter how much they attempt to shine a turd it’s still a turd in the end. The wrapper is off ZeroCare and the stench is foul. Even the lemmings are realizing it.

Zero can ill afford to change much in ZeroCare since it would give the R’s even more ammo. The D’s have painted themselves into a corner but we should never discount the PSP missing an opportunity to save them.

These midterms are critical. They could very well be our last election.

That’s true, Hardnox, there’s still plenty of time for the Rs to shoot themselves in the foot. Knowing their history of missed opportunities, I’ll be keeping my eye on the Tea Party. They’ll be backing the real conservatives I think.

But the R’s are too cowardly to use it…. And too busy backbiting the few true conservative members of the GOP to even see it…

Maybe some of them aren’t attending their own party’s party because it is no longer THEIR party but rather the communist party.
I’d like to think that some of them are waking up, but I’m probably giving them too much credit.
