What is morality?“, she asked.
“Judgment to distinguish right and wrong, vision to see the truth, and courage to act upon it, dedication to that which is good, integrity to stand by the good at any price. ”

Excellent quote. Half of our citizens don’t know this.

I wonder why “Atlas Shrugged” should not be required reading for Lit 101.

    • The most fearsome enemy of the hive mentality is the individual with a unique perspective. It is my belief that the ultimate in the hive mentality, in all respects, is the liberal mindset, marching through life in lock-step, mentally, emotionally and even physically. There is nothing outside the hive that is sacred, and the beliefs of the hive are sacrosanct, and NEVER to be questioned.

Look at the degrading remarks of the liberal establishment to the comments of Sarah Palin, Michelle Bachmann, Allen West, and Herman Cain, Mychal Massie or Thomas Sowell.

But the question is never asked, “By what standard and by whose rule is that standard set?” NOR is this one – “WHO decides who leads the hive?”

The Individual, Buck, is of no value to the liberal. Only the hive exists. And THAT, is why Ayn Rand’s works are not required reading. The thinking individual would destroy the hive that “intelligentsia” has so carefully crafted over the last one hundred years~!

Or at least American History 102.
