“Pentagon ought to win the Nobel Peace Prize every year, because the U.S. military is the world’s foremost guarantor of peace”
William F. Buckley Jr.
~ ~ Grouchy ~ ~
Until THIS administration came along, with a vote from Buckley’s own SON, for Christ’s sake.
I wasn’t aware of that, Clyde~! W O W ~! Did the apple run from the tree, or did the tree fall and run from the apple???
The Nobel prize has become a joke. If someone offered me one I’d be insulted.
Only the Peace Prize, CW, and that, when Zed-Zero-Zilch got it for being ,,, What? The prizes in Science are still valid, (except for Gore’s, and he doesn’t have a lick o’ sense, nohow.) Come to think about it, neither do~!
Just to be a pain in the posterior … do you know the year WFB said this?
I Looked, but other than finding the quote itself, I could not find the source nor the date. But it appears to be during the time of the Eisenhower Administration. That would put it prior to the Viet Nam conflict.
Excellent! Buckley was one of the the best.
