Imagine THAT. Boehner Waves The White Flag.

In a move that simply does NOT surprise me, Boehner caved YET AGAIN.

The time has come to stick a fork in the PSP leadership. Disgusting.

Surrender: House Will Vote First on Senate Debt Deal.

Can anyone say they are surprised the Chief Surrender Monkey gave up?

Like rubbing salt in an open wound, it was announced Wednesday that the House would vote first on any Senate deal to reopen government and lift the debt ceiling. The move to pass a deal that many conservatives see as a capitulation indicates that Congress is moving quickly to put the debate behind it. With the House moving first, Reid can avoid some procedural hurdles to send a deal quickly to President Obama.

Although details haven’t been finalized, the Senate deal is now expected to fund government through December 15 and lift the debt ceiling until early February. If the Treasury uses its “extraordinary” measures to manage cash and debt, the debt ceiling would be pushed until May or June.

The vote in the House will be a critical test for Boehner’s speakership. With large number of Republicans expected to oppose the Senate deal, when it is finalized, Boehner may have to rely on Democrats to pass the funding deal. Such a move would violate the “Hastert Rule,” which has guided GOP Leadership for years and ensures that any legislation that passes the House has the support of a majority of House Republicans.

Tell me we could not see this coming. Boehner has, in effect, abrogated HIS authority, Constitution be damned, that ALL spending bills MUST originate in the House.

It is WAY past time for this simpering sack of spinelessness to be shown the door. However, I’m positive the PSP party will just promote him. Sure hope the French Repubs with some sense remove his ass pronto.

Don’t hold your breath waiting.

Frankly I had a glimmer of hope that this time Boehner would hold out. No doubt the meeting with the bankers and their apocalyptic forecast convinced him that the R’s would be the cause of a worldwide economic crash and thus he folded. The R’s got nothing.

  2. Buck says:

I hope he gets shown the door next year.

    Communist pine cones.

  4. Bill Baldwin says:

Call me optimistic, but the only Rs I think this will hurt are the RINOs. There was a recent poll that showed about 40% of dems are upset with their party, 50% (or more) repubs are upset with their party and 79% of all those polled are tired of the outrageous spending.

As far as Boehner, it’s time for him to go, he should do the honorable thing and resign.

    • Clyde says:

Well, Bill, that is nice, BUT most of them anymore ARE RINO’s. Boehner would NEVER think of resigning. Not much demand in the private sector for professional grovelers.

  5. BrianR says:

Well, as I wrote in my last (current) essay at my own blog, the Establishment GOP is the French Army of American politics.

  6. Kathy says:

I hoped things would be different this time since they stood their ground and allowed the shutdown to happen. Those days were a waste of time and money, though, because he caved anyway, as usual. He let Cruz take all that flack for nothing.

    • Clyde says:

I’m beginning to think the French Repub establishment hates Cruz, and ANY principled conservative, as much as the liberal loony left does. Thanks, Kathy.

I was thinking that Boehner (and all those who went along with him) should change their facebook status…from “spineless weasel” to “cursed daily by millions”…I know that’s how I started my day..
