Day 3 in DC: Veterans, Truckers and Barricades

The Americans are coming!! The Americans are coming!!

Day 3 barricades

And they’re tearing down barricades.

Day 3 pile of barricades

And posing in Iwo Jima style for the cameras.

Day 3 more barricades

And then cops on horses showed up…

 ~~~
and cops on foot with all their bad-boy gear (Hey, officer these are veterans and some of them were shooting bad guys while you were still in diapers.)
Day 3 cops hardware
After a futile attempt to run them off, a riot broke out. Oh wait, that’s not a riot, that’s Americans singing the National Anthem.
Where are they going and why are they carrying those barricades? (left of the stop sign)
In case you can’t read the fine print:
The people’s monuments and memorials are the sole property of the US Government. No stopping, no standing, no looking, no photos, no thinking, no kidding.
The truckers were there earlier, but the cops barricaded off the street so pedestrians wouldn’t get hurt.
    Outstanding report, Kathy. You made my day!
  2. Hardnox says:
    Excellent post!!!!! This made me REALLY proud of my fellow Americans. Glad the Vets and the Cops kept cool heads.
  3. Clyde says:
    Good stuff. I didn’t think the cops would screw with the vets much. Also loved that they piled the barricades in front of the WH. Should have taken a pile on to the Crapitol as well.
  4. Anne says:
    I am so proud!
    The only harm that could come to a bystander because of the trucks, is if he / she puts their hand on the ‘Stack~! 😀
    Kathy,,, A Treasure~!
  6. Saltwater says:
    Peaceful civil disobedience – the bane of tyranny. The marches of Martin Luther King in the 60s and the marches by tens of thousands of women, both loyalist and republican, through Belfast in the 70s are testament to what change can be accomplished when free people stand up for their freedoms.
  7. Kathy says:
    Great comment, Saltwater, thanks for being here. “..when free people stand up for their freedoms.” Some folks are finally starting to do that after being in a coma for so long. Nobody could possibly fault the Vets and their stance, so maybe this is our catalyst. Hope.
  8. Buck says:
    Hmmm, Maybe, just maybe that sleeping giant is stirring….
  9. bullright says:
    Thank You Patriots !
