Look Who Else is Going to DC This Weekend

I received the following email from Freedom Works and my new bff Glenn Beck. I mean, after all, he called me by name and sent me this personal email (yeah, right!)

Kathy,

This Saturday, I am teaming up with FreedomWorks, Mike Lee, and Tea Party Patriots for a National Day of Service in Washington, DC. If the government won’t do its job and keep the monuments clean, then we will.

Join us Saturday, October 12, 2013 at 10:00 AM on the West Lawn of the U.S. Capitol Building.

Make sure to let us know you are coming

Harry Reid and Barack Obama shut down the government. They closed the monuments. That means trash isn’t being picked up. And veterans are being told to stay away from their memorials. What they don’t realize, is that they can’t shut us down. The government gets its power from us. We built it, and we pay for it.

Kathy, you and I are real patriots. And if the government won’t take care of our monuments, then we will.

Join us Saturday when we fix up DC

We will clean up the national monuments, whether they’re open or closed. This is our country. And that’s why I need you to join FreedomWorks, Mike Lee, Tea Party Patriots, and me this Saturday at 10 AM. This is our government, it’s our country, and this is our property. If DC won’t do it’s job, you and I will.

No Signs – bring your rakes, gloves, and trash bags! We’re here to work.

In Liberty,

Glenn Beck

P.S. Forward this to 10 of your friends right now.

~~~~~~~~~
This may be a noble cause, but it’s also another photo-op for Beck and an opportunity to rub obama’s nose it just a bit, so we have a real mixed bag here.
If Beck were my real bff, I’d suggest to him that he get there before tomorrow, because it’s about to get really crowded in DC. between the truckers, more bikers, and the Vets all coming this weekend.
I am really curious to see how all this plays out, especially in an already crowded city, and I’m grateful I don’t live there and have to get to work any time soon.
    Great idea, but he is screwed if the the NG shuts down 495. There ARE other routes in and out of D.C., so if these guys are smart……
    • Kathy says:
      I’d bet on all these guys reaching their goals – they’re smarter than o gives them credit for, and o isn’t as smart as he thinks he is.
  2. upaces88 says:
    I am so glad to see he is going to be there.
  3. gunnyginalaska says:
    I will be there in spirit fellow patriots. WE WILL NOT COMPLY!
    I think you said it with a mixed bag. Photo op, and publicity., is more what I’m thinking. The old saying in politics is “run out in front of the parade”, which now seems to apply to talkers and celebrity personalities too.Since there is a convergence of groups, enter Beck to draw on the light — oblivious to the fact whether his involvement will be a good or bad thing. There will be time to clean up after that Plus I have some other “cleaning” in mind.
  5. Terry says:
    Even with all of the Patriots from various factions flooding into D.C. this weekend, there won’t be anywhere near the amount of trash left behind as there was with any leftard assembly.
    In fact, I’d wager the sewer of a city will be left cleaner than it was prior.
    Especially if they clean out the WH.
    Label me a pollyana, but it’s my opinion that Beck doing this will draw more humanoids into D.C. There will certainly be more press. Yes, I understand the idea that he is seeking publicity.
