Quote Of The Day — October 3, 2013

As for myself and for the Secretary of State and others involved, including those in the Legislature, we stand ready to do anything, to meet with anyone, anywhere, as long as we may do so in self-respect, demanding the respect due this Nation, and there is any slightest idea or chance of furthering this great cause of peace.”

President Dwight D. Eisenhower
Remarks at the Republican Women’s National Conference, May 10, 1955

Sounds like something the Resident would say, Grouchy. Of course he defines “respect due this nation.” much differently than did DDE and the general population at that time.

More wisdom LOST on the current crop of buffoons we call “leaders”.

    • Our former leaders were leaders from the front, and not afraid of the flak, This idjit leads from the rear, and shuns all responsibility. WOW~!
      Thanks, Clyde.

  3. Kathy says:

As opposed to the garbage coming from the current potus, “I will not negotiate.” unless it’s with the ME, then he’s ready to hand them the keys.

  4. MickeyG says:

Me too Grouchy, I’m sitting hear with a worm on my tongue (baited breath) !!

    • Let’s hope we catch a trophy Marlin, Mickey~! Wonder if it will be that alleged $8.5 BILLION, handed to them ‘under the table’. ???
Thanks for stopping in~! – I may have to steal that phrase some time~! 😀

Actually, you guys are selling the big eared, tan-colored weasel short. He would say those words without any hesitation if it helped him achieve his goal. He wouldn’t mean the words, but actually meaning what he said hasn’t stopped him yet.
