Quote Of The Day — September 20, 2013

If you ask me to name the proudest distinction of Americans, I would choose- because it contains all the others- the fact that they were the people who created the phrase “to make money”. No other language or nation had ever used these words before; men had always thought of wealth as a static quantity- to be seized, begged, inherited, shared, looted or obtained as a favor. Americans were the first to understand that wealth has to be created.

  1. Terry says:

” Americans were the first to understand that wealth has to be created “…

And now, apparently, 51% think that is a disgusting trait. If only just enough wealth were created , and stolen, to pay for their free handouts, all would be well.

  2. Clyde says:

Great quote. Too bad THAT idea as well has been LOST of the leftists.

  3. Great comments, Folks. Such a simple concept, but the ramifications are tremendous. And as you all have noted, totally lost on the moocher segment of society.

  4. Kathy says:

“wealth has to be created” not redistributed as our current pos believes we need to do.

    • And we can’t create wealth by transfusing dollars we don’t have, into a dead and dying corpse. (Read, Solyndra, Government Motors, and a multitude of others.)
There is NO business, too big to fail. No matter what the business, there is one waiting to fill the vacuum, and in a more honorable, moral and ethical manner.
Hear me, Bank of America? JP Morgan?
