This post is going to be a bit lengthy, but an EXCELLENT illustration with the problems conservatism faces at the “institutions of higher learning”.
So, without further ado, look out below, ’cause here we go. From The Daily Caller.com
TheDC gets results: Michigan State suspends prof who called GOP racists, rapists
Reporter, The Daily Caller
A Michigan State University professor who began class last week by deriding all Republicans as cheap racists who are raping the country has been suspended for the duration of the semester.
MSU administrators announced on Thursday that William Penn, an award-winning creative writing professor, would not be teaching for the rest of semester after his hate-filled rant was captured on video and leaked to the press. The media attention prompted MSU to launch a speedy investigation, which concluded that Penn had indeed acted inappropriately.
“On Aug. 29, during your Literatures, Cultures, Identities course, Professor William Penn made comments he has acknowledged were inappropriate, disrespectful and offensive and may have negatively affected the learning environment,” wrote Karin Wurst, dean of the College of Arts and Letters, in an email to students. “As a result, Penn’s duties have been reassigned, and he will not be teaching this semester. A new instructor is being assigned to your course.”
A teaching assistant read the message aloud to students in the class on Thursday. Derek Wright, an MSU junior who was in the classroom, said there was “not a sad face in the room,” in a statement to The State News.
Penn’s comments irritated several members of the board of trustees of MSU, who plan to raise the issue at their next meeting, according to Campus Reform.
Penn threw just about every insult in the book at older conservatives. (RELATED: Michigan State prof’s first day rant)
“They’re cheap,” he said. “They don’t want to pay taxes because they have already raped this country and gotten everything out of it they possibly could.”
He said Republicans were supporters of deliberate suppression of black voters in several states. He also insulted Ann Romney, openly questioning why Mitt Romney would ever marry a woman like her.
Of course, he didn’t mean to offend anyone.
“If you are a Republican, forgive me, I absolutely don’t mean to offend you,” he said.
THIS one, the good guys won. Professor ( a title he is OBVIOUSLY not qualified to hold) Penn, liberal to the bone, and asshat to the max, opened his liberal cake chute, and drove in a Mack Truck and did a U-turn instead.
MSU is NOWHERE near as liberal as is the other college here in the PRoAA is, the University of Michigan, and, as such, the dickhead lost his position until the end of the semester, pending an investigation, which, hopefully, the Board will boot his ass out permanently. They do things just a bit differently in East Lansing as opposed to Ann Arbor, where the sonofabitch would have been lauded and promoted.
I urge you to follow the “Related” link up in the body of the story, so as to hear the pissant’s rant for yourself. Could have been written by Axelrod himself.
Now, onto our loss. In this one, we see just WHAT is considered “intellectually important” at THIS misguided “institution of higher learning”.
UPDATE : The MSU Prof. William Penn is indeed a tenured professor. He has been “re-assigned”, with pay, of course, pending an investigation. There are some state legislators calling for his dismissal. More to follow.

Disgusting what passes for “fair”.
UNC student leaders accuse conservative women of being ‘non-intellectuals’
Reporter, The Daily Caller
The student government at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill has dealt a final blow to the College Republicans’ budgetary plans, effectively barring the group from bringing two well-known conservative women to campus — and insulting those women in the process.
Last week, the student government finance committee slashed the College Republicans’ funding allocation from $8,000 to $3,000. The cut meant that students would not be able to bring conservative speakers Katie Pavlich and Ann McElhinny to campus, so they appealed the decision to the full Student Congress.
College Republican chairman Peter McClelland argued that the funding was important in order to maintain a semblance of intellectual diversity on the liberal campus. UNC Students have few chances to be exposed to conservative speakers and ideas, he said. Besides, at least two liberal organizations — a socialist club and a feminist magazine — received more funding than the College Republicans.
But the Student Congress was unmoved by these arguments, and voted 21-1 to allocate only $3,000 to the club earlier this week.
During the debate over the issue, several student government leaders insulted Pavlich and McElhinny, whom they deemed “non-intellectual,” “non-academic” and “unreliable.”
McElhinny is a well-known environmental reporter and investigative journalist who has received accolades for her documentary, “Frack Nation.”
Pavlich is a Fox News contributor and author of The New York Times bestseller, “Fast and Furious: Barack Obama’s Bloodiest Scandal and Its Shameless Cover-Up.”
But these credentials did not impress the UNC Student Congress.
“My concern why I supported removing this is that the educational value — [McElhinny’s] work has been called… ‘unreliable as a Wikipedia page,’” said Austin Root, vice-chairman of the finance committee, as reported by The College Fix.
“We’re talking about $5,000 for a lady who made a movie, and $3,000 for a contributor to Fox News,” said Harrison Touby, a student representative. “That is a lot of money for two non-academic speakers to come to an academic university to speak.”
One student government member defended the two women, pointing out that an extra $5,000 would hardly break the UNC bank; the Student Congress has $90,000 in reserve funds.
“These are well-known speakers in the conservative community and I don’t think this is a large amount to pay for speakers that would bring a lot of interest,” said Brittany Best, chairperson of the finance committee.
Despite promising that the events would draw over 100 students, College Republicans were denied their request for additional funds–and are now unsure of how to make up the difference.
Funding for student groups is allocated by the student government based on the value of the group or event. Mandatory student fees constitute the funding source.
I believe with these two articles, one turning out well, the other not, at just TWO of the TENS of THOUSANDS of college campii across the Fruited Plain tells the story of where we find the country at today.
The college, or university, if you prefer, are SUPPOSED to be where IDEAS, and the FREE EXCHANGE of those ideas take place. We are seeing the results of the leftist, communistic takeover of our institutions bearing fruit.
If your ideas do not mirror THEIRS, yours simply do not get heard, read, funded, nor anything else. Some “intellectual intercourse”, eh?
Other than raising hell, and withholding gifts, donations, what have you, and pressuring others to do the same, along with raising hell with the Boards of Regents, or whatever the institution has for governance,I see no way we can put the brakes on the destruction of the educational system in our country.
These “future leaders” of our nation have been poisoned by 12 years of mostly union-run, democrat-controlled, public elementary, middle, and high school “educations”, then go onto college, where it gets WORSE as far as leftist, communist indoctrination goes.
Then, after completing collge, MANY of them are turned back loose to our public school systems, further eroding the quality of the education our young people receive. Kind of like a dog chasing it’s tail.
Two of my daughters have long graduated university, but the results of their education is SLOWLY being replaced by life’s realities, so they are just now realizing the absolute bullshit they were spoon-fed for damn near 6 years, in both their cases. The THIRD daughter didn’t go to college, she went into business, and while not earning the salaries of her siblings, is FAR more informed about the world, and how it REALLY works.
Parents of college-age students, you MIGHT want to take more than a passing interest in what Josh and Jessica are being “taught”. You just may find that the “wonderful university” they are attending is trying to turn YOUR students into Occupy-types.
And THAT is something the nation can simply NOT afford to have happen.
This screed has gone on quite long. Thank You, my kind readers, for sticking with it.
